Obituary: Herman McNeal Williams affectionately known by family and friends as Mack Williams entered into eternal rest on , May 4, 2016 at the Golden Living in Fredericksburg, VA. Mack was born 3, 1939 to the late Corbett Williams and Ella Jane Washington Williams. He was born into a family of four siblings; two brothers, James and Sylvester Williams who preceded him in death. Mack received his education in Essex county public school system in Tappahannock, VA. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He was baptized and became a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Champlain, VA. Mack later relocated in New York where he lived with his Aunt Hazel Taylor for many years. There he worked for the I. D. Watch for many years. In 1970 he moved back to Virginia and met his wife, Thelma Bushrod. On 17, 1972 they were united in holy matrimony. In 1975, Mack moved his membership from Antioch Baptist Church to Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. R.E. Cabbell. He was a member of the Mens Choir, Committee and the Missionary Ministry. In 1998 he became a walking deacon. He was ordained as a deacon in the year 2001. Under the leadership of Rev. William Irving Roane. In 1977 Mack began working at the Naval Base at Dahlgren, VA for a contracting company where he completed 31 years of service. He leaves to reflect and cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Thelma Williams; one step son, John Walter Bushrod Mann of Colonial Beach, VA; one sister, Deloris Bowers of New York; one uncle John Williams; one aunt Marjorie Williams both of New York; three sister-in-laws Pearl Smith of New York, Annie Bushrod of Washington, D.C., Clarice Harriston of Beltsville, Maryland, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a very special cousin, Ruth Greenfield. |

Obituary: Henry E. Williams, Jr., 85, of Columbus, GA and presently residing in Lynchburg, passed away, , 23, 2011, at the Slagle . He was the husband of the late Julia Warren Williams. He was born on 6, 1925, to the late Henry Ellis Williams, Sr. and Ruby Rhoden Marotta. Mr. Williams was a retired machinist for West Point Pepperell and a member of St. Andrew Methodist Church in Columbus, GA. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Williams is preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Gene Williams; one sister, Madge W. Phillips; and one granddaughter, Susannah Thomas Williams. Mr. Williams is survived by four children, Linda Williams Freeland and husband Larry of Dawsonville, GA, Ellis Warren Williams and wife Marilyn of Ellijay, GA, Gary Thomas Williams and wife Beth of Coleman Falls and Thaddeus Martin Williams and Cindy Williams of Conyers, GA; one sister, Betty Ann Barbee of Trussville, AL; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Williams of Columbus, GA; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Bostelman, Julie Goodrow and husband Joel, Walter Williams, Hannah Williams, Rachel Williams, Caleb Williams, Lindsey Williams, Brent Williams and Brandon Williams; and four great-grandchildren, Will Bostelman, Elena Goodrow, Ethan Goodrow and Emily Goodrow; and many other loving family members and extended Lynchburg family including the Richards family and the Slagle family. A memorial service will be conducted, 6:00 p.m., , 26, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John Scholer officiating. A memorial service will also be conducted, 1:00 p.m., May 1, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby in Columbus, GA with the Rev. Warren Williams officiating. Interment will take place 10:00 a.m. on , May 2, 2011, at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends, 7-8:30 p.m., today at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
