Obituary: Bill Jack Whitlow Bill Jack Whitlow, 69, of 370 Philpott Dam Road in Bassett, died , 16, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Henry on May 26, 1941, to Edgar and Annie Mays Whitlow. He was self-employed as a farmer and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Ferguson and Ruby McGhee; five brothers, Raymond, Jimmy, Eural, Joe and Charlie Whitlow. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Iris B. Whitlow of the residence; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Shannon Whitlow of Clarksville, VA; three grandchildren, Cameron Stone Whitlow, Taylor Jo Whitlow and Nicole Hunter Whitlow; one sister, Annie W. Moore of Brown Summit, NC,; one brother, Maynard Whitlow of Bassett; niece, Jamie Whitlow of Richmond; and special friends, sister-in-law, Margie Harold of Bassett, Liz Kolinski of Critz and Mark Witt of Bassett. services will be held , 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone s, Bassett Chapel with Pastor Greg Hodges, Pastor Mike Varner and Chad Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone, Bassett Chapel and other times at the residence.
