Obituary: Henry E. White Jr., 85, passed away on 1, 2016 due to complications from a long battle with Alzheimers. He is now back with his beloved wife in heaven. Henry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother to his family. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, where he met the love of his life, Joanne, who preceded him in passing. Henry & Joanne made their way to Williamsburg where they established their permanent homestead in 1967. This is where Henry found and built his dream of owning a family restaurant, The Aberdeen Barn, still in business today, now owned and managed by his son Dennis White. He loved the military where he served in the Army during his youth, loved music and played drums in a band as a young man. To this day, he loved his music, so much so, even the caregivers at WindsorMeade (which he called home for the last several years) bought him an Ipod to listen to music so they too could enjoy his toe tapping and humming along to the music. His family wishes to thank the WindsorMeade family that cared and loved him over the years. He considered each of them his family and loved them all. Henry (the Big H) is survived by his brother, Donald White (Marilyn) of Detroit, his six children; Daniel White (Mary) of Gloucester; Cheryl Voliva (Bill) of Williamsburg; Dennis White (Catherine) of Williamsburg; Steven White (Chris) of Blounts Creek, NC; Beth Jenkins of Yorktown and Kenny White (LeighAn) also of Williamsburg. He also leaves behind 11 Grandchildren, Alana Davis (Trevor), Tara Codekas (Chris), Brac Voliva ( ), Michael Voliva (Kari), Melissa White, Brandon White (Katrina), Jason White (Katie), John White (Lora), Lauren Davis (Jake), Bradley and Julia White. In addition, he is survived by his great-grandchildren: Ollie and Jensen Davis; Levi and Piper Codekas; Gabriel, Finneas and Gwendolyn White; Adelyn and Liam Voliva and Ava Davis. He is also survived by many of his in-laws from his wifes family: Gloria Schulte (Al) of Michigan, John Ayres (Dee) of Ohio, Terry Ayres (Lynn) of Michigan and Diane Ayres also of Michigan. A celebration of life will be held on , 7 from 2-4:30 pm at the Aberdeen Barn Restaurant 1601 Richmond Road. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association 213 McLaws Circle Williamsburg VA 23185 or www.alz.org/join_the_cause_donate.asp. Henry was loved by all people that he touched in his time here and will be greatly missed, though we are all celebrating his life and the return to the love of his life in heaven. Obituary: Virginia Beach- Hazel P. White, 87, passed away peacefully 5, 2010. Mrs. White was born May 15, 1923 in Bertie , North Carolina to the late Tommie F. Parker and Claudell Parker. She was a longtime member of Heritage United Methodist Church. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 63 years, Maylon White, Sr.; son, Maylon White, Jr. and wife Charlotte; two daughters: Janae House and husband Raymond, Jr., Carol White; two granddaughters: Karma Reynolds and husband Jay, Theresa Stanfield and husband William; and two great-grandchildren: Kennis and Abriel Reynolds. She is preceded in death by both parents and two brothers. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, , 8, 2010 at Rosewood-Kellum .
