Obituary: Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all, Clark died peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on May 21, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 70. Clark was born on 2, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Louise and Marvin Wood. He graduated from South High School and continued onto the University of Utah where he received a degree in Sociology. Clark married Karen Amundsen in the Salt Lake Temple in of 1967. Professionally, Clark fulfilled a long tenure in the produce industry, working for Associated Food Stores, Wal-Mart, and most recently, The Utah Food Bank. He cherished the many relationships developed along the way. Clark is survived by his wife, Karen; children Trisha Cutler (Wes), Alissa Hollberg (John), Bryan (Amber), Emily Montmeny (Shawn), Jenni Bjorklund (Russ), and Michael (Liz); siblings Jean Rasband (Phil) and Suzanne Colby (Gary). Clark is also survived by 18 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathy Monfrooy. At an early age, Clark developed a strong work ethic as well as a passion for sports. He excelled in football at South High and later played at the University of Utah. One of his greatest joys was being able to coach his own children and attend their sporting events as well as those of his grandchildren. He was also a lifelong University of Utah sports fan. Clark was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving a mission to New Zealand from 1964 to 1966. He spent his life serving in various capacities, including: bishoprics, high councils, and many years serving the youth. Clarks life was filled with opportunities for service. He possessed a genuine love for people and influenced all with whom he came in contact. Many who knew Clark considered him to be a role model and father figure. Obituary: Mark Daniel Wood 1923-2012 Mark Daniel Wood passed away peacefully in Bountiful, Utah on 4, 2012. Mark was born on 14, 1923 in Burley Idaho. He graduated from Burley High School in 1942 and was a member of the State Championship Basketball team. In of that year he joined the Army Air Corps. During World War II Mark served in the 8th Air Force. He flew 27 combat missions over Europe as a pilot in the heavy bomber, a B-24 Liberator. the war Mark enrolled at BYU, where he met Geraldine Heatherly, who he married in of 1946, beginning their 66 years as husband and wife. Mark graduated from BYU in 1950 with a BS in Chemistry and Geology. He joined US Steel at the Geneva Works leaving as the Superintendent of the Coke and Coal Chemistry in 1980. Mark closed out his work career with Allen Steel in Salt Lake City in 1987. Mark was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving as a member of a number of bishoprics and high councils, Stake Clerk, and a temple worker in the Provo and Timpanogos Temples. A great love of Marks was the time assigned in various capacities to the Sharon Stake Welfare Farm. Mark loved the outdoors and was a lifelong hunter and fisherman. He was more than willing to share this knowledge with others. He enjoyed taking many friends and grandchildren to Strawberry Reservoir to catch their limits of trout. In his later years he spent time telling countless friends and school children about his adventures in WWII. Mark is survived by his wife Geraldine and five children, Terry (Steven) Taylor, Gail (John) Cunningham, Mark Daniel Wood Jr., Heather (Tapio) Kuusela, and Caroline (Steven) Tippetts, eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. services will be held , 10, 2012 at 11 am at the Hillcrest 6th Ward Chapel, 1035 South 800 East, Orem. A viewing will be held that morning from 9:30 to 10:45. Interment will be in the Orem City . Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.walkersanderson.com. |

Obituary: Mari Lou Wood, whose warmth and welcoming smile brought happiness to so many, passed away 8, 2016. Born Mary Louise Dickson to Mary Ann Cobabe and Arthur Norton Dickson in Albion, Idaho on 24, 1921, she grew up with three brothers. On 8, 1944 she married her sweetheart David Ford Wood in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. A graduate of Woodbury in Fashion Arts, she had a fulfilling career of 25 years working at the University Of Utah Of Business. Her job enabled her to travel the world and fulfill a particular dream of seeing Australia and the Great Barrier Reef. A big part of her enjoyment came in making international friendships she cherished throughout her life. In later years, Mari Lou became an avid gardener. Her yard was breathtaking. She delighted in flowers of all kinds and collected blossoms of all shapes and colors. She spent many hours with her sister-in-law Irene pressing flowers and creating beautiful floral gift cards which she shared with friends and family. She is survived by her three children Liane Stillman (Larry), Lauren Caudell (Doug), David Wood (Debbie), 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and brother, Dwight Dickson. She was preceded in death by her husband David, daughter-in-law Carla, grandson Jason, and brothers Norvin and Fred. We will miss you, dear Mom. services will be held , 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive.
