Obituary: John Patrick Wiss Johnny Our beloved uncle, brother-in-law, and friend passed away on 11, 2014. He was born on 25, 1947 to Arvid and Gean Wiss in Fort George, Iowa. He graduated from Granite High School class of 1966. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. John retired after 40 years from Hill Air Force Base while working with the Landing Gear Division. John was a loving, kind person and would do anything to help anyone. He always had a smile on his face and a funny joke to tell. Survived by his sister-in-law, LeiLani Wiss; nieces and nephews, Michael, Randy, Jef, Michelle, Carmellia, Rita, Marriane, Steve, Mark, Gean, Stanley, Shawn, Gerard, Joe, Faith, Hope, Charity, and Pat; longtime friend, Larry Cross. He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Donna Malcom, Ann Wiss, Vivian Mirowski; and brother, Michael Wiss and girlfriend, Teresa. John was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. We now know John is resting peacefully and now with many of his loved ones. The family is grateful for Aaron for being there for John and for Ogden Regional for caring for him during his last weeks with us. Obituary: Marian Aldrich Wiseman Marian Wiseman passed away 11, 2006 after a short stay in the hospital. She was born 28, 1924 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Orange M. and Sena Aldrich. Marian grew up in Mt. Pleasant and attended schools there. graduating High School she moved to Provo where she attended BYU. While attending BYU she met and married E. Richard (Dick) Wiseman on 14, 1946. had many wonderful years together taking many golf vacations, traveling to different countries, and playing Duplicate Bridge at the Master level. Her husband, Dick, passed away on 22, 1983. Marian especially loved golfing and teaching her four sons the game of golf. She was an excellent bridge player and a very good golfer, winning the Club Championship title a few times. She was a wonderful mother who always had time for her sons. She very much enjoyed all the friends she made at Riverside Country Club and Phile Nada, and served in several positions with those clubs. Dicks passing Marian spent several years traveling the world on many cruises with her dear friends. would spend weeks visiting many exotic places and enjoying each others company. She is survived by her four sons: Richard A Wiseman (Sherrie) of Santa Rosa, CA, Robert S Wiseman (Leslie) of Orem, UT, Wm. Rand Wiseman (Kathe) of Provo, UT, and Craig E. Wiseman (Toni) of Provo, UT. 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, and her oldest grandson, Adam. Her long struggle with respiratory problems has ended and she is free to enjoy the association with her beloved husband, brothers and sisters, and parents. She will be missed by us all. Our family would like to thank all the staff at UVRMC for their very kind help with Mom during her stay. Obituary: Donald Martin Wiseman Donald Martin Wiseman, 72, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away at home on 2, 2007. He was born 15, 1935, in Rhame, North Dakota to Olen & Irene Howard Wiseman. He graduated from Rocky Mountain in Billings, Montana. He married Nancy Ellen Raitt in 1955 and they had four sons, Garth, Jeff, Brett and Kurt. Don loved baseball and loved to coach. He coached several winning company teams. He not only loved baseball, but all sports. He loved to play golf and going out of town to play golf with his friends. He played tennis regularly. He was a Crimson Club member. He was a good example and leader, a friend to all. He was a top paper salesman for Carpenter Paper and also Dixon (now Xpedx) Paper winning many top sales awards. He retired from Dixon Paper in 1997 after 24 years of service. He is survived by a brother, Glenn Wiseman, Ohio; a sister, Betty Beniger, Montana; his four sons and their families. He has nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His spontaneous sense of humor and smile will be missed by all. We are grateful for the wit, wisdom, and memories we shared. services will be held , 7, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Jordon North 3rd Ward Chapel, 4270 South Falcon Street (about 4145 West) in West Valley City. Family and friends may call from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be held at the Valley View Memorial Park , 4400 West 4100 South in West Valley. |
