Obituary: Evelyn Louise Weeks May 22, 1932 – 27, 2013 Louise Weeks was born on May 22, 1932 to Sherman Newlon Weeks and Ima Lee Hack in Jerome, Idaho. Louise grew up on a farm and loved living in nature and with her beloved animals. From pets Bootsy and Bob-Dog to Nathaniella, Goldie-Fox, Little Bear, Serena and Precious, her relationships with these furry family members filled her life with joy and companionship. Louise was adventurous and after graduating from Jerome High School, she worked in Salt Lake City, Utah, attended Brigham Young University and served an LDS mission in San Diego, California. Louise also travelled to Berkley, California and worked for the Dean of Students who wanted her to marry his son. That is typical of the impression Louise made on people from all walks of life. She had many wonderful beaus, but never quite met the right one. She spent her life in service to family, neighbors and anyone who crossed her path and needed a friend and understanding. She judged no one, and was able to extend Christ-like love and mercy to those she loved and served. She also worked for the secretary to the First Presidency of the LDS Church in the 1960s and for the General Relief Society President, Belle Spafford. She worked in several departments at University of Utah and Brigham Young University where she made great friends amongst her colleagues. During struggles with her health in her later years, she would always recite the positive things in her life I was born on a farm in Idaho… and that gave her great peace of mind. She is adored and missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by both parents, by her sister, Dorothy Gee Gregory (John Gregory) from San Bernardino, California, niece Judy Weeks, nephew Bobbie Lee Peterson, great-niece Elizabeth Ann Dyson, and great-nephew E.J. Infanger. Still living are her brother, Donald Weeks (Idell Hymas Weeks) and sister, Doris Weeks Peterson Robert and many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces/nephews and event great-great nieces/nephews. Louise is grateful to all those who helped her in last weeks, her friends, family and hospice workers from Sunrise Hospice and Mountain Lands Aging Services, and especially her wonderful hospice nurse, Mary Smith. A viewing for her will be held at Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, Orem on , 2 from 6:00-8:00 pm. A graveside services will be held in Jerome, Idaho on , 3 at 1:00 PM.
