Obituary: WYATT Julia Maury Wyatt, born 6, 1928, passed away suddenly 24, 2008. Brilliant, generous and full of life, Julie had an impact on everyone she met, developing relationships across all boundaries and divides. attending St. Marys Hall in San Antonio, she attended Carnegie Institute of Technology, now Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, Pa. with aspirations of becoming an actress. She moved to New York to chase that dream, and began her lifelong love affair with that city. Upon returning to San Antonio, she used her college and New York experiences to develop a foundation for a career in advertising, working at the San Antonio Light, and then at WOAI in both radio and television. Julie was most proud of her social activism. A committed advocate for social justice, she served on the Good Samaritan Board of Directors for many years; however she certainly did more than just attend board meetings. She volunteered tirelessly at the center, and was especially devoted to the teenage girls, enabling them to broaden their perspective on life and encouraging them to see great possibility in their futures. Her physical presence as a neighborhood advocate for the center was evident in her guiding principle that he neighborhood always came first. Julie was also instrumental in initiating programs to raise awareness about the root causes of hunger in the world. She was Chairman of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas Hunger Committee, and she served on the San Antonio Area Food Bank Board for many years. In her own words, she realized that in order for people to solve huge problems they need to share resources, offerings and ongoing research into the root causes of hunger and social injustice. She also knew that change had to begin with local creative solutions, and she was very much a part of finding those solutions. Julie had an ongoing passion for opera and the symphony. She was a staunch supporter of the San Antonio Symphony all of her life. In more recent years she found herself squarely in the musicians corner, advocating for them and helping them in practical ways. She adored debating ideas and relished a good political debate. Active in politics until the end, this year, she attended the state Senatorial District 20 Convention, and was selected as a delegate to the Texas Democratic Convention, which she unfortunately was unable to attend. A longtime member of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross, Julie developed a practical spirituality that was never limited to the confines of a church. She lived her life on the principals of honesty, intellectual curiosity, compassion and love. She read everything, thought about everything, and tried to fix everything she thought she could! To the very last, she was an engaged and active participant in causes she believed significant. Everyone she knew would agree she was a force to be reckoned with! Her strength, tenacity, forceful will and passion made their mark on all she met. She loved French cooking, Paris, roses, music and all books, but what she loved most was sharing all of these things with others. Preceded in death by her mother, Julia Gleaves Groce, stepfather Josh H. Groce, and both of her husbands, John Bob Payne, Jr. and William I Wyatt, Sr., she is survived by her daughter, Julia Eleanor Ellen Lardon, her husband Joel L. Lardon , her grandson, Joel Marshall Lardon, and her crazy white cat, Sophie. Her greatest gift was her love for us, and we will all miss our mom beyond belief. She was one of a kind, and we are grateful to have had her in our lives.

Died March 29, … More Information
John William Wyatt Iii, born May 22, 1965 died March 29, 2010 in Austin, Texas. John was 44. Obituary: John William Wyatt III, 44, left this world in work clothes and boots on as he always said he hoped to. Born May 22, 1965, John was the only child of parents John William Wyatt II and Eileen Marie Reininger Wyatt. Although born in Toledo, Ohio, he became a naturalized Texan soon thereafter where he proceeded to create a bountiful life for himself and his family in the picturesque state.

A remarkable and talented man, John - affectionately known as Beau to his family - is remembered best for his uncompromising role as a Father and role model to his boys. During his marriage to Lori Kathleen Dillman Wyatt, his eldest son, John Jesse William Wyatt IV was born. Johns path then brought Heather Rhea Wyatt into his life, where she became the loving mother of his three younger sons, Garth Hunter Wyatt, Cody James Wyatt, and Zane Aaron Wyatt. Also sharing a beautiful part of John and his familys life, close friend and loved one Ms. Meagen McCrory remains with the family to carry on. Fiancé and stepmother to the entire Wyatt clan, Juanita Stuart Brandi Sartwell, bids a tender farewell to her betrothed and remains lovingly committed to the longevity of the Wyatt family.

Always positive and upbeat, John could commonly be overheard sharing with friends, karma isn good or bad, it just is, and this is how he lived his life. In addition to his utter devotion as a father, Johns world consisted of his passion for fine guitars, loud drums, and the world famous music of Pink Floyd. His avid desires for and ample abilities in music spilled over into hobby and career venues as John enjoyed entertaining as a singer and sharing his melodic gifts as a music teacher. He proudly identified himself an American blue collar worker, and used this stable base to be a successful role model and provider for his family. Most of all, John loved all things mechanical, cars, and motorcycles, and would happily help with whatever needed fixin - a theme that would come to dominate Johns life through to his final farewell. He was equally skilled at mastering new technology, and was most recently an integral part of one of the worlds premier multi-media powerhouses. Ever generous with his resources, energy and skills, his physical absence leaves us all with a rich tapestry of memories of this jovial friend, and these few quintessential points; live, laugh and love, such things are finite and are not to be missed.

John was preceded in death by his parents and Lori Wyatt. He is survived by his four sons, Jesse, Garth, Cody, and Zane.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., , 5, 2010, at Cook-Walden 6100 N. Lamar. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on , 6, 2010, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden on Lamar , with burial to follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetary in Pflugerville, Texas.

Memorial contributions in the name of John William Wyatt III can be made to: any reputable humanitarian effort of your choice, whose goal and capabilities are already reaching out to those of Johns human brothers and sisters who remain here, to toil and rebuild as their nations and lands are violently transformed by natural disasters.
