Obituary: Eddyth Worley was born on 9, 1946 at Breckenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas to parents Edward and Lucille Niceler. She passed away peacefully , 2, 2009 after a long battle with several cancers. Eddyth grew up traveling the United States due to her fathers pipeline construction business. In 1955 the family settled in Duncanville, Texas. She graduated from Duncanville High in 1964 and attended Navarro Junior , Corsicana, Texas. Majoring in music with a concentration in flute, Eddyth transferred Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, and continued her pursuit of a music career. In 1967 she attended North Texas State University, Denton, Texas, and in 1969 she graduated with a bachelors degree in Education. teaching in Dallas for two years she traveled to Georgia and was a teaching assistant principal the first years of mandated integration. While in Georgia she met and married Tim Worley, her husband of 37 years. Their decision to make the military a career resulted in many adventures and special assignments. A tour with the United Nations in the Middle East provided the opportunity to meet and make many new and long lasting friends, and a tour at the Air Force Academy led to different challenges to conquer. She was an active Air Force wife holding numerous positions and offices in several Air Force volunteer organizations. Through the years she pursued her educational goals and earned her Masters and Doctorate degrees. She helped the US Navy establish the first Electronic Schoolhouse, trained the first cadre of instructors, and conducted the research that ensured its continued funding for which she received special recognition from the US Navy Fleet Combat Training . Recognized for her expertise she was named Education Advisor to the National First Ladies Library and was an active member of the board. She is survived by her husband, Tim; daughter, Maurleen, her husband David and son Tyler; daughter Robin, her husband Ralph and their sons Tripp and Bailey, and sister Betty Jo Monk, her husband JD and sons Joseph and Edward. Obituary: David R. Worley Jr., fell into a sweet sleep in the LORD Jesus on 9th and will be buried in a private family service to await the resurrection of the body. A memorial will be held 18th at 10:00am at Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ (11908 N. Lamar Blvd Austin, TX 78753). David was born (first creation) in Lubbock to David and Iva Lea Worley on 18th of 1949 and was baptized into Christ (new creation) on 12th of 1964 in Ft Worth. David was a member of five congregations: Meadowbrook (Ft Worth), Woodlawn, Minter Lane (Abilene), Whitney Ave (Hamden Ct) and Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ (Austin). David served in planning assemblies, organizing/teaching classes and in various supervisory/ad-ministry work in the local congregation. The Father above provided David with three faithful sons-in-law: Les McDaniel, Matthew Peterson and Chris Coggin for his three wonderful daughters Heatherly, Christiana and Elena... who were blessed to have a wonderful mother, Melinda. David prayed for his four grandsons, Owen, Jude, SamuEL and Lincoln ... and six granddaughters, Jane, AnnaLee, Neva, Addie, Gracie and Cailin. David was blessed with sisters, Janet Drake (husband Dick) and Gay Barton, and a brother Brock Barton (wife Joyce), with nieces Sara Black, Karen Barton, Eleanor Hancock, and Danielle Daugbjerg and nephews David Hancock (wife Laura), and David, Dain and Damon Drake. David provided houses/apartments for many people. David encouraged teaching/equipping/nurturing believers and congregations in Russia, in the South Pacific and in Austin. David served as chair of the Christian Resource Russia in St Petersburg, Russia. David had special concerns about how believers listened to the radio (and experienced entertainment) and that believers should learn to sing the Psalms... and, of late, the effect of the nature and nurture of sports upon God's dedicated people. David served in the academy and in business. He was a graced teacher. He had been president/chancellor of Austin Graduate School of Theology, chair of Brentwood Christian School and supporter of faithfulness at Abilene Christian University. He was a financial investor with his priority to help trustworthy friends to start and sustain businesses, whether in health care, energy, media, transportation, education or the arts. David was president of the family office Thelese Management. David had chosen the name "Thelese" from a passage in James which expresses the contingency of all business upon the Lord willing (thelese) and His breath. David relies, as do we all, on the mercy of God the Father of our Lord Jesus Messiah. David learned to express "Grace" to all whom he met. He awaits the resurrection, buried in Austin Texas, until the Lord Jesus returns to judge ... awaiting the inheritance of the saints in light, the new heavens and the new earth, to the glory of God the Father. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation of Biblical Studies or Austin Graduate School of Theology. |

Obituary: CMSGT James Bobby Worley, USAF, Retired, went to be with the Lord on , 24, 2011. He was a member of Cranes Mill Baptist Church. Jim Bobby was a member and Past Master of the Helotes Lodge No. 1429 AF & AM. He faithfully served his country as a career NCO in the U.S. Air Force and received the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. He then worked in civil service at Randolph AFB. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Fanny Maurine Worley.
