Obituary: Ben Woltman was born at home near Marlin, Texas, to Ben and Martha Woltman. Ben is survived by Jackie, his wife of 61 years, and his daughters Karen and Pam and son-in-law Gary. Ben graduated from Marlin High School and Dallas Bible . Jackie met Ben during his college days in Dallas. Ben spent his career in the arts and picture framing industry as owner of Woltmans, Woltman-MarGol and Traditional Galleries. He served on the Board and as President of Professional Picture Framers of America. Ben also served on the Board of Frontier Camp for over 40 years, including service as Chairman of the Board for multiple terms. He served on the Board of Elders at Lake Country Bible Church in Mineola and Board of Deacons at Reinhardt Bible Church in Dallas. Ben was known for his fun-loving spirit and laughter. He and Jackie retired to Winnsboro where they owned property. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and telling stories.

Obituary: Evelyn H. Woltjen nee Berg passed away , 23 at age 91. Her daughters, Joanne and Mary were at her side singing Kumbayah. She was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

She is survived by her four daughters, son-in-law and brother: Pamela Woltjen, Barbara Friedman and Gerald S. Friedman, Joanne Mouser, Mary Glantz and her brother, Alton Berg. She has six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Art Berg, sister, Jeanne Grover Taylor and her husband, Jim.

Her maternal and paternal grandparents emigrated from Sweden in 1882 settling in Stockholm, South Dakota. She celebrated her Swedish heritage every Christmas by making a variety of Swedish cookies, kurv, lefse and rollepolse. She was still 100% Swedish even though she was 2nd generation born in the United States.

Music was a big part of her life from flute to piano to singing. In high school she won the state championship for flute playing. She loved singing and was in church choirs wherever she lived and she loved classical music. Her daughter, Mary, still has the rocking chair Evelyn used while singing lullabies to her children as she rocked them to sleep.

Evelyn met her husband, Jim Doc Woltjen, at Northern State Teachers in Aberdeen, South Dakota during WWII. were married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen on 18, 1945. both graduated from the University of Minnesota.

While raising four daughters she was an active volunteer. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for all her daughters. Evelyn was also involved in the Officers Wives Club everywhere her husband was stationed and was President of that organization at Dyess AFB, in Abilene, Texas.

Evelyn had her private pilots license and was a member of the 49ers, a womens pilot association. She flew herself and four daughters from Texas to South Dakota.

As an active church member and member of the Altar Guild she took care of the flowers, Altar cloths, preparing communion and delivering flowers to the ill and shut ins after services. She was on church council at Grace Lutheran Church, Abilene, Texas. She was also a member of the womens circle. One of their projects was to make quilts for third world relief.

While living in Abilene, TX, Evelyn worked for the Department leading As Parents Grow Older, a national grant on the problems of aging, and learned how to deal with the problems of aging parents

Evelyn was a consummate hostess. She and her husband entertained often with pool parties and Chinese dinners.

In Abilene, Texas she was a member of Altrusa, a business womens service club. give scholarships to women to help pay for college expenses. She served as President for a year and was the newsletter editor for several years.

She was a Red Cross volunteer while stationed at HQ 5th Air Force in Tokyo; helping with blood drives from 1966 to 1969. While in Tokyo she taught English to Japanese ladies and formed lasting friendships.

Evelyn loved to sew and at one point she sewed an entire wardrobe for her daughter Pamela so that Pamela could attend church music camp.

Evelyn took Wilton cake decorating classes and prepared elaborate birthday and graduation cakes for her family. preparing a cake with a clown climbing the side of the cake, the dog, Patches, very carefully ate the clown leaving the rest of the cake untouched. She also made frosted heart shaped cookies for Marys third grade class with each childs name written with frosting on the cookie.

Gardening was one of her passions, growing vegetables every summer. While in Aberdeen in 1973 she convinced her two daughters still at home to weed the garden before going on vacation. Mary said Look, theres a worm. This ended Joannes participation much to her mothers dismay.

Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper after her children were grown and her husband had retired from the Air Force.

Evelyn learned to snow ski at age 64 to join her grandchildren on the slopes. The first year she broke both wrists at once but she continued to ski with her grandchildren, Justin, Derek, and Ariel for several years.

Evelyn learned to play bridge in college and it became one of her favorite pastimes. When in Abilene she started playing duplicate bridge.

She and her family most often spent summers with her parents at Pickerel Lake in northeast South Dakota as the family traversed the country to their next station.

Obituary: Theresa Brice Wolters fell asleep in the Lord on , 21, 2015. She was born in Junction City, Kansas in 1928 to James A. Brice and Catherine Tully. She graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science degree in . She subsequently worked as a nurse in an Omaha hospital until she met the love of her life, Francis S. Wolters. married on May 1, 1952. Theresa and Frank lived in Junction City, Kansas, and moved to Arlington in 1963. Together they raised four children.

Theresa was active in St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington. She held many callings while there, including the Director of Religious Education, member of the Marriage Tribunal of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, and most recently, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. She was a member of the St. Maria Goretti Womens Guild, the Encore Club in Arlington and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on 18, 2014, her parents, her sisters, Mary C. Owen and Elizabeth R. Shumate, and her brother, James T. Brice.

Theresa is survived by her four children, Anne Elsweiler (John) of Logan, Utah, Stephen Wolters (Marla) of Sugar Land, Philip Wolters of Mansfield, and Pamela itti (Edward) of League City; four grandchildren, Brice and Alison Wolters, and John and Paul itti; and nieces, Toni Owen, Christine Feasley, and Katherine Owen.

Obituary: Mary Mickey Wolters, 92, passed away peacefully morning 7 at The Carriage Inn.

Mickey was born 16, 1923 in McKinney the daughter of John and Mildred (Duer) Ray. She married Freddie Wolters on 28, 1944. Mickey was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Bryan, the Womens Club, the Garden Club, Station Noon Lions Club and served as past president of the Girls Club. She enjoyed crafting and was an exceptional seamstress. She was currently a member of the Station Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Mickey is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freddie Wolters; and a brother, John Thomas Ray.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Timmy and Karen Wolters of Station; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamala Boyd of Glen Cove, NY, Deiadra and John Stevenson of Dripping Springs; Deborah and Tom McIntyre of Salem, MO; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Edith Ray of Bryan; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

He was born in Dallas in 1926 to Al Wolters and Ruth Severin. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was stationed in Foggia, Italy. He graduated from Kansas State University. Frank married Theresa Brice in Omaha, Neb. lived in Junction City, Kan., and moved to Arlington in 1963. Together they raised four children.
Frank managed several large chain grocery stores. He also owned several successful retail businesses. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Fraternal Order of Elks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Wolters.
Survivors: Frank is survived by his wife of 62 years, Theresa; children, Anne Elsweiler (John) of Logan, Utha, Stephen Wolters (Marla) of Sugar Land, Philip Wolters of Mansfield and Pamela itti (Edward) of League City; grandchildren, Brice and Alison Wolters, and John and Paul itti; and sisters, Mary Leonard, Norma Wynn, Nancy Wolters, Pat Melching and Sue Neutzling.
