Fred called her Tiger Red for her beautiful red hair. married in 1955, lived in San Antonio, and raised their family to adulthood until Freds death. Subsequently, she married retired Colonel Clarence Clancy Woliver, and they enjoyed many happy times together before his death in 2002. Organizations that enjoyed Jo Anns energy and intelligence included the: Charity Ball Association, The Battle of Flowers Association, the Junior League of San Antonio, Musical Club, Christ Episcopal Church Choir, the Vestry of Christ Episcopal Church, the Methodist Hospital Development Board, the University of Texas at San Antonio Development Board, the McDonald Observatory Board of Visitors, The Advisory Council for the School of Music at UTSA, Bible Study Fellowship, the Littlefield Society and numerous other organizations. Jo Ann was instrumental in the establishment of two significant scholarships at UTSA, the Marjorie Powell Zachry Endowed Scholarship in Music and the Bess Hieronymus Endowed Scholarship in Organ. For her service to UTSA, Jo Ann was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award. Jo Ann also endowed the Fred T. Goetting, Jr. Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin. Jo Ann will be missed greatly by her daughter Karen G. Skelton and husband Hamp, son F.
