Obituary: Bessie Charlotta Wilson, 96, of Water Valley passed away on , 14, 2016 in San Angelo. She was born to the late, Amzior and Rosetta Rosa Hawkins Williams on 23, 1920 in Rule, Texas. She married Randel Martin Wilson on 29, 1936 in Sudan, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith and worked as a social worker for the United States Army for a number of years. She was always positive, no matter what the situation or how bad she was feeling. It has been said that she never had a negative thing to say. She could be found singing while she was cooking, sewing or working in the garden on many days. She was not only witty, but also had a wonderful sense of humor. She was the perfect hostess; having the ability to make you feel like you were coming home the minute you walked in her door. She was always fair and showed no favoritism to those she loved. To say she was family oriented, does not give her justice. Bessie left a lasting mark on those around her and will be missed greatly. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Randel Wilson, Jr., Brett A. Wilson, and Coy B. Wilson; and grandchildren, Marla, Gina, and B.J. Wilson. Survivors include her grandchildren, Randy, Randel, Melissa, and Julie Wilson; numerous great and great great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Barbara, Jeanne and Lucitta Wilson; sisters, Elwanda McNabb and Annie Pearl King; numerous generations of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, including, Linda Ashton. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on , 18, 2016 in the Johnsons . Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on , 20, 2016 in the Water Valley Pioneer with Pastor Tim Wood officiating. Obituary: BERTA IRENE EVANS WILSON Berta Irene Evans Wilson passed away at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont on , 12, 2014. She was born 18, 1923 in ville, Texas. She married Shannon Wilson of Newton, Texas, in 1945, and they settled in Beaumont. Irene worked for Cable Meat Market, later Quick-Serve Meats, before retiring in 1994. Customers remembered her as the pretty, hardworking brunette behind the counter who made sure they got the very best cuts of meat. Irene was happiest when she was busy and helping someone else, and in 1996 she joined RSVP, a local senior citizens volunteer program, and assisted there for 18 years. Through RSVP, she provided service to the Humane Society, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Shots Across Texas, Some Other Place, and all special RSVP events. Irene never turned down a request to help and even worked on projects at home. She was also an active and dedicated member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Irene is survived by a son, John Howard Wilson and wife Judi; daughter, Bonnie Sue Wilson; grandsons, Shannon Andrew Wilson and wife Bonnie, Chad Edward Chatelain, Kenneth Linsley and Samuel Linsley; great-grandsons Zachery and Dylan Lundy; and former daughter-in-law Judy Linsley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shannon; parents, Necie Etheridge and Willard Theron Evans; sister, Esther Comer; and brother, Dewey Leslie Evans, who was killed in action in World War II. A visitation will be held at Forest Lawn in Beaumont on , 14, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be held at Forest Lawn , 15, at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow.
