Obituary: Willoughby, M.C. M.C. "Will/Ruff" Willoughby, 89, of Venus, passed on peacefully at home , 23, 2015. He was born on 2, 1926 in Maydelle, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Marie Willoughby of Venus, his son Michael Willoughby, wife Kendra, and granddaughter Zoe of Midlothian, his step-daughters, Linda Schell of Mesquite, Joan Hebert of Sacramento, California, Dolores Weaver of Grand Prairie and his grandsons Brian Weaver of Grand Prairie, Nicolas Schell of Mesquite, Jordan Schell of Mesquite and Forrest Hebert of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul "Bud" and Annie Willoughby; sisters, Pauline Graham and Hazel Hart and brother, O.J. Willoughby. M.C. enlisted twice in the United States Navy. His first enlistment was from 1943-1946 where he reached the rank of Seaman 1st Class. He served on the USS Appalachian taking part in the invasion of Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, Guam, Leyte, Luzon and the Occupation of Japan. His second enlistment was from 1950-1954 where he reached the rank of AEM3. He worked as an airplane technician at the NAS in Dallas, Texas, the NAS in Pensacola, Florida, and Whiting Field in Milton, Florida and NAAS in Kingsville, Texas. M.C will be greatly missed by all who know and love him. Graveside Services will be held , 11:30AM, 3/2/15 at Laurel Land Memorial Park. |

Obituary: services for Kenneth L. Willoughby, 77, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. , 24, 2015 at Allan Fuller Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Johnny Herriage and Mr. Marty Weesner officiating. Private graveside will follow at White Rose in Wills Point. He passed away afternoon, 21, 2015 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born 2, 1938, in Wills Point, the son of Ellis Willoughby and Mattie Myers Willoughby. He was raised in Wills Point and in 1956, he graduated from Wills Point High School. On 5, 1957, he married Wynelle Furrh in Wills Point. Kenneth was formerly employed by Texas Aluminum in Rockwall, Westexco in Terrell and later retired from Bus Parts, Inc in Wills Point, where he was owner/operator. He lived in Wills Point his entire life except for ten years he lived in Terrell. Kenneth enjoyed woodworking, NASCAR racing and in his earlier years he did track racing. He loved his family very much and also loved his donkeys, Pat and Junior. Kenneth was a member of First Baptist Church in Wills Point, but has attended Hayden Baptist Church for many years. Preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Mattie Willoughby. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Wynelle Willoughby, of Wills Point; two sons, Kenneth Willoughby, Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Wills Point and Davy Willoughby & wife, Myriam, of Wylie; sister, Betty Strickland, of Terrell and two granddaughters, Tiffany Barker, of Wylie and Kacee Girdley, of Wylie. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, S.P.C.A. or charity of your choice. Family will receive friends at the funeral home evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. |

Obituary: Gloria Ann Willoughby, age 76, went home to heaven on 19, 2011 in Plano Texas. She was born 28, 1935 in Dallas Texas, parents Ethel and Aubrey Thomas Sharp. She was the youngest of three children. Two brothers Tommy and Frank Sharp. Gloria is survived by brother Tommy and all of her loving children, Phillip Reeves and wife Carla, David Reeves and wife Cristel, Donnie Reeves, Kathy Vincent, Ronnie Reeves and wife LeiAnn, Julie Billmyre, Mike Price and wife Stormy, Lori James and husband Bobby. Also 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She spent over 20 years with the Duncanville school district serving as manager for the cafeterias. Her greatest loves were her children, grand children, great grandchildren, and her two favorite dogs Missy and Molly. Some of her favorite pass times were crocheting, and finding a great movie to watch. Pallbearers will be John Patrick, Garland Nevil, Corky Bowling, Jr., John Volpe, Brad Nevil and Ronny Grubb. Pete was born 20, 1921 to Frank and Bessie Carter Trim in Cherry Mound, Texas and graduated from Bells High School. Dorothy was one of five children, with Waldo, Shelton Sonny, Frances Trim Carpenter and Frank, Jr. preceding her in death. In 1943, she married Carrel Hundley Willoughby in Independence, Kansas, where Carrel was stationed with the Air Force during WWII. Pete was an avid fan during Carrels baseball career prior to, during and following the war. Pete and Carrel had a baby George Herman, who died at birth and later adopted a baby daughter Terri Lynne. Terri is married to John R. Patrick and is an executive for ExxonMobil in Houston. have two daughters Katharine and Elizabeth, who are continuing the family tradition in playing Little League baseball and father John manages their teams. In Denison, Pete worked for Kraft Food (where she met Carrel), Sears, managed the Montgomery Wards catalog store and Top Value Stamp store, and worked in the local hospital business office. Pete and Carrel were founding members of Parkside Baptist Church. In 1967, the family moved to Dallas, where Pete worked 20 years for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. Carrel died in 1993 while they were attending a Texas Rangers baseball game. Pete was vivacious and energetic, living a full and active life. She loved to cook, entertain and buy/sell antiques.
