Obituary: Robert Busby Williamson died peacefully at his home on 7, 2017, at the age of 74. He was born in Houston, Texas, to the late Wilma and James D. Williamson II. Robert will always be remembered for his intelligence and sense of humor. The most precious thing in his life was his family. Robert graduated from Newman High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and furthered his education at Louisiana Tech University where he earned a mechanical engineering degree. He spent his entire 30+ year career working for Texaco where he retired in 1995. Robert leaves behind many loved ones to cherish his memory including his wife of 43 years Mary Ann Williamson; daughters Julia K. Williamson and Laura W. Zimmerman (Brandon); son Michael N. Williamson; grandchildren William, Mary Grace and Caroline Zimmerman; brothers James D. Williamson III and Dale T. Williamson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation for the care that was given to Robert by Passages Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests masses be said for Robert. Obituary: Robert Lee Williamson Jr. was born 2, 1924 at Hempstead, Waller , Texas, passing away May 23, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cora Willie (Newton) and Robert Lee Williamson Sr. He is survived by his wife, best friend, and life companion, Janie A. (Boswell) Williamson, married sixty-nine years, four months and four days. He is also survived by their three children and spouses: Vicki and Billy Jack Allen, Robert Larkin and Mona Barrier Williamson, Che Dawn Williamson and Timothy Herron, six grandchildren; Robert Ward Allen, Robyn Michelle and husband Danny Fetro, Brian Larkin Williamson and wife Jennifer, Robert Brent Williamson, Austen Gabriel Herron and Regan Grace Herron and five great-grandchildren: Andrew Aaron Allen, Rylee Mattison Allen, Cole Larkin Williamson, Koby Brent Williamson and Henry Jack Fetro. Also sister Maurine Wyatt. Known to his friends and co-workers as Red or Bob, he joined the U.S. Marine Corp at the age of sixteen during WWII, and was stationed in Pearl Harbor. Upon discharge he met and married Miss Janie in 1946. Red joined the City of Houston Fire Department in 1948. With the Houston Fire Department he served as a Firefighter, fire apparatus chauffer, fire photographer, arson investigator and a state certified criminal polygraph examiner, retiring with the rank of Senior Captain in 1974 after twenty-six years. Red and Janie moved to Montgomery in 1972 and upon retirement from Houston, Red went to work for the Montgomery District Attorney Office as Chief Investigator of the Texas 9th Judicial District, Narcotics Division. Two years later he transferred to the Montgomery Sheriff Department serving as a Uniform Patrol Deputy Sergeant and later Captain. He was instrumental in creating the first Montgomery Sheriff Department Traffic Division, then a Sergeant with the Detective Division. He also worked for the Montgomery Fire Marshalls Department, transferring back to the Sheriffs Office as a Sergeant over the Communications Division. Red retired again in of 1990 from the Montgomery Sheriff Department, having given a total of forty-two years of his life to public service. |

Obituary: Rita French Williamson, 85, of Austin, Texas, went to be with the Lord on , May 7, 2015. Rita Jeraldine French was born 4, 1930 in Thalia, Foard Texas to Alfred Bryan and Zelda Estalene Hopkins French. When she was about three months old her father was employed by the Texas Gulf Sulphur and the family moved to Matagorda on the Texas Gulf Coast. Within a short time he was transferred to the TGS facility in Newgulf, and Rita attended K-3 at Newgulf Elementary School; then the family moved to Fredericksburg, TX, where she attended grades 4-7 at Live Oak Elementary School. While living in Fredericksburg Rita obeyed the gospel and was baptized by Church of Christ Minister Luther Norman. In the summer of 1942 the family moved to Kerrville, TX, and Rita attended 8th grade at Kerrville Elementary School for a few months; then the family moved to Round Rock, TX, where she completed her elementary and high school education, graduating from Round Rock High School in May, 1947. She and Kail Tom Williamson, Jr. were married on 7, 1947 by Minister W.D. Black at the Round Rock Church of Christ. While living in Velasco they were blessed with the birth of daughter, Sharon Louise. K.T. and Rita purchased their first home in late 1949. In the early 1950s Rita took advanced shorthand and typing courses through the Austin High Night School Program, and then enrolled in an Administrative Secretaries Training Course through the University of Texas Evening School. Rita was employed at National Life and Accident Insurance as a clerk-typist from about 1954-1956 then resigned to accept a position with Trinity Testing Laboratories as secretary/bookkeeper where she worked until about 1961 when she resigned in order to be at home with her young daughter. She purchased an electric typewriter and did secretarial work at home for several engineers and architects and did thesis, dissertation, and other typing for the University students for about a year and a half. In 1963 she was employed by State Senator Murray Watson as administrative secretary/office manager and continued in that capacity throughout his Senate tenure which ended in 1972. In 1973/74 she served as State Senator Raul Longorias administrative secretary and office manager. Rita did temporary work in several political campaigns including the Kennedy-Johnson Presidential Campaign and Crawford Martins Campaign for Attorney General; the State Democratic Executive Committee; and several State Departments including The Consumer Credit Commission and The Texas Rehabilitation Commission during some of the interims when her services were not required in the Senate offices and after she left Senate employment in 1974. In 1978 Rita took courses at the Academy of Real Estate and obtained her salesmans license. She went to work at Gray and Realtors as a Sales Associate and worked there for several years then moved her license to Knippa Properties where she worked until she retired 31, 1992. During her real estate career she received many awards such as Sales and Listing Agent of the month; Sales and Listing Agent of the Year; Grand Sales Award Winner; and in 1983 she was selected by the Sales and Marketing Executives of Austin as one of twenty-eight salespeople in the City of Austin to receive Distinguished Sales Awards for outstanding sales achievement. Rita was a faithful member of the Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ. She was a charter member of the congregation which began on 14, 1952 as Brentwood Church of Christ and the name was later changed after the congregation built a new building among the oaks off North Lamar. Rita took pride in her family and was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother! Her major hobby was genealogy and she spent much of her time researching and preparing genealogy and picture albums to leave as a heritage for her descendants. Rita leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 67 years, K.T. Williamson, daughter Sharon Andrewartha and husband Rick, Sister Lou Baker, grandchildren Jeff Andrewartha and wife Stacey, Jennifer Boehm and husband Troy. Obituary: Raymond Burgess Williamson, born on 31, 1928, in Driftwood, Texas to Buddy and Alice Williamson, passed away on 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers. Ray spent his childhood on his familys ranch and farm. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a veteran of the Korean War, and a respected businessman in Austin, Texas, opening American Floors on South Congress Avenue in 1965. Ray sold his business in 1985 and built a farm and ranch in the Ozark Mountains where he spent some of his most joy filled years. Ray retired to Spicewood, Texas in 1995. It was here that he became a respected member of the Spicewood Church of Christ. Ray was a loving husband, father, Papa, and friend. He taught his kids, by example, how to work, how to laugh, and how to have fun, which are the greatest lessons a father can give. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Williamson, his children and daughters-in-laws David Williamson, Damon Williamson (Cathy Williamson), Gaynell Blanchard, Donald Blanchard (Blanca Blanchard), David Blanchard (Sonia Blanchard), 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. , 7, 2014, at Clements-Wilcox in Marble Falls. Interment with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the Phillips near Dripping Springs. Instead of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ray can be made to cancer research or Scott & White Hospice. made by Clements-Wilcox Marble Falls, Texas |
