Obituary: Robert G. (Bob) Williams of San Antonio, formerly of Winnsboro died 8, 2017.Bob was born Dec. 4, 1945 in Prescott, Arizona to the late Aileen and Floyd Williams. He graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1964 and from East Texas State University in 1971, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is survived by his son Jared, love of his life, Kaye, both of San Antonio, sister Sandra "Siswa" Davis and her husband Clifford of Liberty City, and brother Pat of Winnsboro. Bob also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he treasured, and many great nieces and nephews whom he adored. Bob was a loving and kind soul with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a terrific father, fun-loving uncle, and a friend to many. His love of the outdoors, a result of growing up in northeast Texas, took him on many adventures on or near any type of water or snow. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and never turned down a fine cigar or glass of port. Bob was sure to never miss a Dallas Cowboys game and loved his Texas Rangers. He will truly be missed. A celebration of Bob's life will follow at a later date. |

Obituary: Robert Gary Williams, 65, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away , May 11, 2017. Robert will be missed by many. Celebrating his life, a memorial service will be held at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 5001 Crestline Road, on at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make gifts in his memory to All Saints' Episcopal Church. Robert was born in El Salvador in 1951 to Robert and Betty Karleen Williams. growing up in New Orleans, L.A. and Morristown, N.J., he graduated from Morristown High School. He went on to study at Earlham in Richmond, I.N. and graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in American Studies. Robert joined the United States Navy as an Intelligence officer in 1975, completing his Masters Program at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, C.A. In 1981 he married Damaris Migdalia Ortega, who he met while stationed in Panama. Robert served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, working in Panama, London, Spain, Florida, and Washington D.C., retiring as a Commander in 1995. Robert went on to work in security and logistics for 20 years. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed running, reading, and the arts. He will be remembered for his compassion, thoughtfulness, strong values and character. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Tuman Williams. Survivors: Wife, Damaris; daughter, Arlene Evans and her husband, Trey; daughter, Charlotte Williams; mother, Betty Karleen of Morristown, N.J.; sister, Carol of Morris Plains, N.J.; extended family in Panama; and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones. |

Obituary: Robert Grey Williams, age 84, of Austin, died on morning, 23, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Always early in life, Bob did not linger between worlds long. Born in Denver, Colorado, Bob grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas where he graduated high school in 1948. Raised within a lively extended family, Bob and his close cousin were notorious pranksters and makers of mischief. He enjoyed scouting and ranked up to Eagle Scout, an achievement he would remember proudly for many years. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952, stationed in Washington state. In 1952, he began working as a surveyor or doodlebugger for Humble Oil (Exxon) which brought him to the small North Texas town of Canadian. This is where he met his wife Lucy through activities at the local church. Lucy and Bob both enjoyed taking part in the churchs many social activities. She was singing in the choir when he noticed her beautiful smile and inquired about the girl with the perfect white teeth. Bob and Lucy married in 1954 and lived all over Texas while Bobs work kept them on the move. raised four children and settled in Austin in 1989. Bob enjoyed maps and navigating. Always happy to spend time outdoors, he was an outstanding gardener and a meticulous lawn keeper. Whether planting his famous tomatoes, which were distributed throughout the neighborhood, or taking part in an amateur archeological dig, he enjoyed playing in the dirt. Bob was intensely devoted to his children and grandchildren. But his warm and generous spirit extended to many others. He was the go-to rescuer of adventurous teens, an adopted grandpa whose discretion many family friends knew they could count on. Direct and straightforward, Bobs honest manner made him easy to get along with. There was never any guessing; what you saw was what you got with Bob -- a kind friend who was always there to help and could laugh with you as he pulled you out of a scrape. He is survived by the love of his life and partner of 58 years, Lucy Williams, their four children Robert Williams, Ann Williams, John Williams, and Laura Chaney, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He will be missed and remembered with love every day. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., , 26, 2013 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church located at 4800 Convict Hill Road with Father Pat Coakley, Celebrant. |

Obituary: Robert Thomas Williams, 87, of Austin, passed away on , 26, 2011. He was born on 18, 1924 in Austin to Thomas B. Williams and Alla Stephens Williams. Robert proudly served his country with the U. S. Army during World War II and was a printer with Hart Graphics for 43 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoying many years of retirement on the golf course. Robert was always willing to lend a hand and help out in any way he could. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marie Williams; two daughters, Sandra Frithiof and husband, Ronald and Tricia Tipton and husband, Steve; four grandchildren, Jennifer Frithiof, Stacy Landry, Kevin Tipton, and Allison Tipton; four great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.
