Obituary: Doreen Theresa Williams was born on , 5, 1956 in Kingston, Jamaica to proud parents: Lloyd Williams and Gloria Lasley. She was a woman who enjoyed being her own boss, so for many years she would travel to different countries, where she would purchase clothes and toys and re-sell them to members of the community. In 1989 she migrated to the State of California in search of a better life for her family and this is where they resided for the next 16 years. In 2006, she relocated to Dallas with her family after deciding that Dallas would provide better opportunities. She was employed at Presbyterian Village North which allowed her to provide care to the elderly who were now in need of assisted living. Throughout the years, Doreen made an impact on the lives of many people either by her continued acts of kindness, her motherly advice or simply that big warm smile that always graced her face. Her memory will forever remain in the heart and mind of her 3 Children: Michian, Dale and Lincoln; Husband: Delroy Thompson; Grandchildren: A.J and Leah; Siblings: Veronica, Ransford, Everton, Marva, Joyce and Jennifer and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her favorite aunt Barbara (Aunty Gem). |

Obituary: Don J. Williams of Heath, TX went to be with his Lord and Savior on 14th, 2015. Don was born on 17, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky, the oldest child and only son to Wib and Virgie Williams. He attended and graduated with both a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Amberton University. He met and married the love of his life in 1959 having met her at a college class at church , still remembering her distinctly wearing a red and white sailor outfit she had on that day. Dorothy Johnson Williams his wife of 54 years remembers him as being movie star handsome and they both fell in love at first sight. married in 1960, and in 1963 expanded their family to include a daughter, Donna Beth Williams who he loved and doted upon all of the days of his life. Don was raised in the Church of Christ where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, and continued in his faith leading his wife and daughter to have personal relationships with Jesus. Don worked in Information Technology for Fortune 500 companies in the home building industry, finishing his career at its pinnacle as the Chief Information Officer for DHI Financial, a subsidiary of DR Horton. Don was an instrumental part of many of his employees careers, mentoring and guiding them to successful careers. This was one of his lifes passions and gave him great joy. He was proud to serve on the first committee for Community s for Dallas , TX that established the criteria for the first offered Associates Degree in Computer Science. Don was the most wonderful, faithful, loving Husband, Father, Son and Brother that any family would be proud to have been blessed with. He will be missed greatly. Don is survived by his wife of 54 years Dorothy (Johnson) Williams of Heath, TX, his daughter, Donna Beth Williams of Sachse, TX, and Pamela Kay Williams of Germantown, TN. He had an incredible connection and love for all of his cousins, aunts and uncles, in laws, nieces and nephews, who were always held in the highest esteem by him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wib and Virgie Williams of Germantown, TN and his beloved grandparents Willard and Margie Williams of Clarkson, KY. He was always most comforted by reading the chapters and verses in the book of Psalms. Don requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in his name to the National Psoriasis Foundation. |
