Obituary: Wayne Francis Wilkinson, age 68 passed away 13, 2015. He was born on May 2, 1946 to Florence Wilkinson Brady in Brighton, Massachusetts. He was raised in Northampton, Massachusetts and graduated from Northampton High School in 1964. Wayne served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967. While serving during the Vietnam War he was ranked as an E5. He was awarded The National Defense service medal and the sharp shooter medal. And was an instructor at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. He married his wife of 48 years, Barbara, on 12, 1966. six weeks of dating, he knew she was the love of his life. Wayne was employed by Unisys Corp. for 41 years before retiring in 2008. He was a loving husband to Barbara Sue, and a loving father. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, pride for his country, total love and devotion to his wife and family. Obituary: William Carleton Wilkinson, Jr. was born on 3, 1914 in St. Louis, Missouri, to William Carleton Wilkinson, Sr. and Annerta Marie Pourcellie Wilkinson. He passed away on 28, 2014 just a few days before his 100th birthday. Carl was a Certified Public Accountant in both St. Louis, Missouri and then later in Dallas, Texas. He continued to have clients well into his senior years. He was recognized for being the oldest practicing CPA in the Dallas area. In 1973, Carl married the love of his life Sophie Theodora Turbyfill. enjoyed 25 years of marriage. went on many cruises and traveled to many places including Hawaii, Egypt, China, Italy and Israel. Some of their most memorable trips were to Paris, France and to Greece to visit Sophie’s relatives. took square dancing lessons and found joy being each other’s soul mate. Sophie preceded Carl in death on 24, 1998. Memories of his time spent with Sophie were always present in his heart. Carl was also preceded in death by his only sister Aurelia Wilkinson Irvin, his nephews Roger Finn Underwood and Timothy Carleton Underwood, Sr. During World War II, Carl proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS J. Douglas Blackwood, DE-219. As a Quartermaster First Class, Carl performed duties as a navigator and flag semaphore signalman. He was awarded the Victory Medal, American Area Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal. He was a true patriot who flew his American flag with pride. Carl is survived by his daughter Jan Turbyfill and her children Denton and husband Jonathan and Bonny Stephens. He is also survived by his son Stephen Turbyfill, Sr. and wife Karen and their children Jenee Dwyer and husband Dino, Stephen Turbyfill, Jr. and wife Meredith, Holly Sanders and husband Thor, Hope Turbyfill and Danene Birtell. Surviving great-grandchildren are Maleah Smith, Luke Denton, Sophia Denton, Brock Gowdy, Jessica Dwyer, Cody Dwyer, Troy Sanders, Liliana Sanders, Ella McNamara and Colton Turbyfill. Carl is also survived by his niece Evelyn Anderson and husband Thomas, his nephew Gerald Lynn Irvin and his children Deanna Osment and Daniel Irvin and wife Hannah along with another nephew James Edwin Irvin and his wife Cindie and their children Jennifer Serna and husband Michael, Sarah Hicks and husband Trey, and Stephen Irvin. Other family members who called Carl “Uncle Carl” are his sister’s daughter in laws Sherie Underwood and Judy Underwood Johnson and her husband Ben. His sister’s grandchildren, Timothy Carleton Underwood, Jr. and wife Heather, Tracey Pritchett, Laurie Slack and husband Rich, Amy Hart and husband Mark, Richard Underwood, Kristi Billings and husband Paul and the above relatives many children. Services for Carl will be on , 3, his 100th birthday. A reciting of the rosary will take place at 10:00 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 950 Trails Parkway, in Garland, Texas followed by a celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30. Interment will be at Sacred Heart , 3900 Rowlett Road, in Rowlett, Texas following the mass. The Tri- Veterans Honor Guard will present Carl with a final military salute during the graveside service. Officiating priests for the rosary, the mass, and the graveside service are Father Joseph Mehan and Father Weinzapfel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. |

Obituary: Thomas Michael Wilkinson, age 53, died in Austin, Texas on 7, 2015 as a result of a tragic bicycle accident the previous week. Born in Farmington, New Mexico, on 24, 1961, Tom spent his formative years in Tyler TX, New Orleans LA, Calgary Alberta, St. Louis MO, Dallas TX, Houston TX, and Anchorage AK. He attended the University of Houston, where he met the love of his life and future wife, Deborah Spillane. graduating with a degree in Management Information Systems, Tom progressed through a series of increasingly responsible positions in the software industry, moving from Houston to Denver to Chicago. In 2003, Tom survived a major battle with cancer. As a result of this second chance at life, he refocused and became an avid and experienced cyclist, participating in many fundraising events with Team In Training in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In 2006, he moved his family from Chicago to Austin and started a small business. Always keeping his family first, Tom was also able to develop his passions for designing and installing audio visual systems and participating in "century rides" with Team in Training. Tom is predeceased by his mother, Marianne Bippen Griffin and is survived by: his loving wife of 30 years, Debbie; his devoted son Neal; his father and stepmother Tom and Joan Wilkinson of The Woodlands, TX; his brother Rick Wilkinson of Bentonville, AR and his sisters Laura Poore of Houston, TX and Karyn Choi of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by a multitude of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Obituary: Ted D. Wilkinson, 80, of Victoria, passed away at his residence 11, 2011, surrounded by his family. Ted was born 28, 1930, in Crosbyton, to the late Thurman Theodore Ted Wilkinson and Gladys Hitt Wilkinson McCurley. He was a 1948 graduate of Beaumont High School and attended Lamar University. Ted was a Master Mason and a member of the Beaumont Tolerance Lodge No. 1165 AM & FM and a 50 year mason. Ted was in the automobile business for more than fifty years. During that time he worked as a salesman, Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and Owner. Prior to his move to Victoria, Texas in 1985, he was the owner of the Pontiac-Buick-GMC Truck-Subaru dealership in Bryan, Texas. He operated that company for nearly ten years. Mr. Wilkinson purchased the Victoria Nissan franchise in of 1985. In 1987, the Toyota dealership was acquired. In 1988, he was able to add the GMC Truck and Daihatsu franchises to the Nissan location. In of 1993, Mr. Wilkinson purchased the Oldsmobile-Cadillac dealership. The Toyota franchise was sold in of 1994. However, in of 1996, Mr. Wilkinson again expanded his operations by acquiring the Pontiac, Buick, Jeep, Eagle and Mazda franchises. 1997 was a busy year. The GMC Truck franchise was moved to the Pontiac-Buick location, and the Jeep-Eagle franchise was merged with Nissan. Later, the Mazda franchise was sold, and near the end of 1997, Mr. Wilkinson sold the Nissan-Jeep-Eagle dealership. In May of 2001, the Chevrolet franchise in Refugio, Texas was purchased. In , 2002 the Cadillac franchise was sold and General Motors phased out the Oldsmobile franchise. In , 2003 the Chevrolet franchise was sold. In 2006, the Pontiac Buick GMC franchises were sold and Ted retired for a while. In 2010 Ted opened his final dealership, Wilkinson Pre-Owned Super on North Navarro, leaving his family to carry on his legacy. Ted is survived by his wife of 24 years Lisa Karen Burger Wilkinson of Victoria; his former wife Josephine (Josie) Olive Engelke Wilkinson of Seguin; his children, Ted Donald Wilkinson, Jr. of Temple, Marjorie Lea Wilkinson Moses of Houston, Susan Bennett Wilkinson Duke of Chattanoga, Tennessee, Patricia Wilkinson Lynn of Rockport, Stuart Alan Wilkinson of Victoria and Nancy Lynn Wilkinson of Victoria; sister Karen McCurley Clark Patterson and husband James D. Pat Patterson of Victoria; grandchildren, Brian Melancon, Melanie Melancon Krueger, Elliott Grimes, Zachary and Meagan Wilkinson, Robert (Bobby) Wilkinson, Coleby Kopplin, Conner Ashton Kopplin, B.J. (Bobby) Trojacek and David Trojacek; great-grandchildren Callie Gholston, Aurora Dwyer, Jason Trojacek, Kaylee Trojacek and Kyndelynn Wilkinson; nephews and nieces James E. Clark III, Ashley Karen Clark, Keith Patterson, Scott Patterson, Lisa Obeji, Michael Bruton and Jonathan Bruton and many grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his step-father T.H. McCurley; a daughter Donna Renee Kopplin. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM 12, 2011, at the Rosewood Chapels. Services will be held at 2 PM 13, 2011, from the Rosewood Chapels with the Rev. Ben Sherran officiating. Graveside services will follow at 10 AM 14, 2011 at Memory Gardens with Rev. Ben Sherran officiating. Pallbearers will be Grinetta Evans, Bobby Wilkinson, Zachary Wilkinson, David Trojacek, Randy Guajardo and Gerald Merks. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter, 2242 W. Obituary: Sims Herschel Wilkinson, 85, of Lagarto, Texas passed away on 10, 2015 at Methodist West Houston Hospital in Houston, Texas. Services are under the direction of Buffington in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on , 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Harwood United Methodist Church in Harwood, Texas with Reverend Dave Dillon officiating. Interment will follow at Harwood in Harwood, Texas. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on , 12, 2015. Sims was born on 30, 1929 in Gonzales , Texas. He was the son of Carl Thomas and Wanette Adel (Knippa) Wilkinson, Sr. He married Sadie Mae Sutton on 5, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Star, Texas. He enjoyed going fishing and setting trot lines for catfish. He liked to go hunting, play dominoes, and socializing with friends and family. Sims is survived by one son; Rock Wilkinson and his wife, Staci of Houston, Texas, one daughter; Candace Bow and her husband, Phillip of 7 Points, Texas, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two brothers-in-law; John Sutton and his wife, Minnie Lu of Refugio, Texas, Donald Stubbs of Seguin, Texas, two sisters-in-law; Lois Sutton of San Antonio, Texas, Charlotte Noble of New Braunfels, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Carl and Wanette Wilkinson, Sr., his wife; Sadie, one brother; Carl Thomas Wilkinson, Jr., and one son; Michael Sims Wilkinson.
