Obituary: Carol Ann Wilkins, age 64, of Cleburne, Texas, formerly of Manila, died 13, 2016 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Born in Manila she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Ewing Gamble and had attended Manila Public Schools. She lived in Reed Springs, Missouri for many years where she and her late husband, Jimmy Lloyd Dean, attended Healing River Worship . She later moved to Texas to be near her family and married Robert Wilkins. Together, they attended the Potters House of Prayer. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Carmichael and a sister, Betty Lester. Survivors include her husband, Robert Wilkins 1 son, Jimmy Dean 2 daughters, Sharon Davis and Barbara Bullard 3 brothers, Michael Gamble, Billy Gamble, and her twin, Dan Gamble 2 sisters, Nancy Petty and Mary Potter Graveside funeral service will be 1pm in the Manila . Obituary: A precious 5 year old lad, Weldon Bernshausen, knelt in prayer every night for months asking the Lord to bring him a baby sister for Christmas. The Lord answered his fervent prayers and his sister came to him on Christmas day. Her father, Edwin Bernshausen, an English professor, named her Beatrice from Dante, stating that he needed an angel to guide him through the hell on this earth. Her mother, Hilda Bernshausen, named her Elaine for her best friend. And thus began the life of Beatrice Elaine Bernshausen. Through her walks on this earth, Bea was truly an angel to thousands of people. Bea began her formal educational pursuit at River Oaks Elementary School and continued until graduation from Lamar High School. She completed a B.S. in Education and a B.S. in Religion from Texas Lutheran in Seguin, Texas. She received a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. To further her post graduate studies, Bea attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and Liberty University in Lynchberg, VA, and the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Highlighting these continuing academic pursuits, Bea was trained by Dr. Victor Frankel to become a certified Logotherapist, which guided her philosophy in her many aspects of helping people, promoting well-being in the lives of others. Professionally, Bea was a Licensed Professional Counselor; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; a Licensed Social Work Associate; a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor; licensed as a Texas public school teacher; and a Registered Professional Educational Diagnostician. She completed training as a teacher for dyslexic students at Neuhaus Education . Finally, she was ordained as a Parish Worker for the Lutheran Church. Bea was always busy as a bee in her many careers from teaching at Baylor of Medicine, researching cures for Multiple Sclerosis, establishing preschool education at the Beehive School in West University, replicating this design across the state of Texas with Mickey Leeland; and counseling/play therapy with sexually abused children for Harris and CPS. Bea evaluated developmentally delayed children in public schools and in a private setting with Dr. Daniel Williamson. Bea assisted in re-norming psychological tests for the Psychological Corp. in San Antonio, Texas. she completed a second Master's Degree in Psychological Assessment at University of St. Thomas, Bea taught courses in this area at the university. Bea's life-long desire to bring out the best in everyone and her insatiable love for children propelled her to be youth leader at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church for 5 years. Some of these youth are still with her. She and her husband provided a home and refuge for 12 children from CPS. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick Wilkins, her son Karl Wilkins, and her brother Weldon Bernshausen. She is survived by her cherished husband Henry Baldwin, whose unconditional love and affection and attention enriched her life for the past 10 years. Niece, Teri Lynn and husband Richard and sons William and Daniel Peabody. Nephew, Duke Thornton. Also, her extended family in Montana, Dave and Alice Lawsen, Danita Bell and granddaughters Natalie, Marcal and Darla. She will also be missed by numerous relatives and best friends. A visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM, , 4, 2015 at Earthman Bellaire . A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, , 5, 2015 at Forest Park Lawndale , 6900 Lawndale St. Following the burial there will be a memorial service 2:00 PM at St. Andrews, Presbyterian Church, 5308 Buffalo Speedway. |

Obituary: Beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, Adelma S. Wilkins, age 56, passed peacefully from this life on , 13, 2009. She was surrounded by those who loved her. Delma, as she was affectionately known, will always be remembered for her quick wit and good humor. Delma was born in San Angelo, TX on 16, 1952. She attended Kennedy High School in San Antonio. She is survived by her mother, Erminia Servin; devoted husband of 24 years, Jacob R. Wilkins; daughter Diana C. Russo and spouse Paul A. Lopez; and grandchildren, Aaron Robert Russo, Jazzmyn Nikkole and Moses Elijah Lopez; numerous other family members and a host of friends. Delma was also blessed with step-children Tammy Wilkins, Eunice Carrillo, Annette Martinez, Laura Hires and Jake Wilkins; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the numerous medical professionals who provided care during Delmas more than 30 years with illness, including Dr. Carlos Morales, Dr. Jesse Medellin, Dr. Joseph Luna, Dr. Michael Bay and Dr. Rita Cuevas, as well as all those who offered their prayers and support. Obituary: Robert Francis Wilkin, 97, of Burnet passed away 16, 2016. He served as superintendent of the BCISD from 1968 to 1981. Bob Wilkin was born in Marissa, IL. on 24, 1919 and grew up in Quincy IL. high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Bob was a World War II veteran and for a time was stationed at San Marcos Army Air Field, where he served as a navigation instructor. the war he enrolled at the University of Texas, where he earned a Master's degree in Education Administration. It was there that he met the love of his life, Adele Ruth Dickey. married in 1947. His work history in the public school system spanned more than 33 years. He started his education career as a Jr. High teacher for Quincy Public schools and then became a Supervisor and Superintendent for Bastrop schools. Bob was hired as the superintendent of the Burnet ISD in 1968 and served until 1981. In later years, he also served and was active on the Region 13 Service s Board of Directors. his retirement, he continued to be involved in the Burnet Community where he served several years on the Burnet city council and other civic organizations. Earlier this year, Bob was inducted into the Burnet CISD Hall of Honor. He was preceded in death by his sons Mark Alan Wilkin and Robert Michael Wilkin. Bob is survived by his wife of 69 years Adele, son Jeffrey Wilkin of Richardson TX, and granddaughters Kelly Wilkin of Richardson and Jessica Wilkin of St Louis MO. The memorial service will be held , 19 at 3:30pm at the Burnet First United Methodist Church. A private inurnment will be held at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. The Wilkin Family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Seton Highland Lakes Hospital for the wonderful care Bob received for the last 2 weeks of his life.
