Obituary: Margaret Brice Sullivan Wilborn passed away peacefully into the waiting arms of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on May 25, 2015. She was born in Corsicana, Texas on 15,1920 to John H. Sullivan and Irma Galloway Sullivan. Margaret attended public schools in Corsicana and graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors degree in English and a minor in Music. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board. graduation from UT, Margaret worked for The Texas Railroad Commission in Austin. She moved to Houston where she worked for seven years as the executive secretary to Mr. Hines Baker, President of Humble Oil and Refining (now, Exxon Mobil). On moving to Houston, Margaret became a member of First Presbyterian Church. Her love of music led her to join the Chancel Choir at FPC where she was introduced to William A. Bill Wilborn, D.D.S. married in of 1953. Margaret and Bill were married for 27 years until he died in 1981. made their home in Houston and had two children, William Brice and Susan Susie. the children were in school, Margaret began a 20 year career in teaching with the Houston Independent School District, first as a substitute teacher and later as a full time English teacher at Fondren Jr. High School (now Fondren Middle School) serving as the English Department Chairman for several of those years. she retired from teaching Margaret continued her involvement with the Chancel Choir at FPC and began volunteering in the Music office / library, a job that gave her great joy. Margarets life reflected her strong faith and trust in Jesus, her gentle spirit, her love of learning and teaching, and her devotion to family and friends. Margaret S. Wilborn was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; brother, John H. Sullivan of Dallas; and brother and sister-in-law Bruce M. and Betty Sullivan of Corsicana. She is survived by her children Brice Wilborn and wife Denise; and Susie Moore and husband John, all of Houston; grandsons, Joseph Wilborn of Austin; Bill Moore and wife Kristen of Vancouver, BC, Canada; Steve Moore and wife Alex of Houston; and Charlie Moore of Houston; greatgranddaughter, Gabriella Moore of Vancouver. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Louise and Jim Yancey of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law George and Mary Morgan Sullivan of Fort Worth; and sister-in-law Mary Irene Sullivan Winniford of Dallas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful team of ladies from Encore givers: Linda, Kathleen, Loicy, Sharonda, Penny, Sheila, and Kate for their kindness and gentle care over the past three years. a private burial at Memorial Oaks , a memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on , May 30, 2015 in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church Houston, 5300 Main Street. |

Obituary: Rudy Wilborn age 82, loving husband, father, grand-father, great-grandfather, and friend flew away from his home with Jesus and his Angels to his new heavenly mansion on 23, 2014. He is reunited with his loved ones, as that is what he yearned for. He was born on 25, 1931 in Port Lavaca, TX to the late Everette W. and Leona Fellers Wilborn. Rudy retired from Avondale Shipyards. He formally worked for ALCOA shipyards. He was a member of Six Mile Assembly of God Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne, then the 508 Airborne where he was a parachute instructor. He served in the Korean War. He owned a plane in his younger days, and enjoyed flying. He spent many years serving the Lord in the ministry as a School teacher, was over the Bus Ministry, and worked as a minister in the prisions. He was the former president of the Fraternal of Eagles in Port Lavaca. He was a former Sandcrab football player and brought them to their first championship, It earned him a scholorship to Texas A&M University. He was a scout leader and a former Eagle Scout. Rudy was survived by his beloved wife, Anita Key Wilborn, daughter Connie Wilborn and husband, Michael Siler of Port Lavaca, sons, Clarence R. Wilborn, Jr. and wife Sheila of Amarillo, Son, Mark Wilborn of Slidell, LA. He had 12 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He had 7 step-children, Cindy Garza, Linda Carter, Wayne Treybig, Tate Treybig, Vickie Miller, Elaine Terlinden and Gary Treybig. Numerous step-grandchildren. He had a special friend, Cheryl Mitchell and family that called him Uncle. He is also survived by his sisters, Inona Buren, and Peggy Wilborn, brothers, Briggs Wilborn, and Rev. Tommy Wilborn. He was proceeded in death by 3 children, Gregory Wilborn, Paul Wilborn, and Cynthia Wilborn Jenkins. Brothers Leo Wilborn, Everette "Buddy" Wilborn and Jerry Wilborn.Sister,Joy Graham. A time of visitation will be on , 25, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial , and services performed by Rev. Tommy Wilborn and Rev. Johnny Kisiah will be held on , 26, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Richardson-Colonial . Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens. Pallbearers will be Danny Graham, Derk Goodrich, Tristum Mitchell, Garland Graham, Jr., Larry Wilborn and Briggs Wilborn, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Trent Picou and Bryan Carlson. |
