Obituary: One of eight children, Frances Sue White was born on May 18, 1932 to George D. Lee and Golda Clara Lee in Paris Arkansas. Our loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, and friend entered the Heavenly Kingdom on 4, 2015 with her daughter, Linda, and granddaughter, Jessica by her side.

When she was a small child, her family moved to Port Arthur Texas. It was there she spent her childhood and formative years, but she always considered Arkansas her home. She graduated for Port Arthur High School in 1949.
Sue was proud of her Razorbacks. It was always a game rivalry day when Texas played Arkansas; but whoever won in the end it was okay as long as mom was happy and got the last word.

While in Port Arthur she met Bert, the father of her two children. She and Bert were married 21 years. Two beautiful children were born from this union: William Dean and Linda Kathleen. These two children were the ultimate pride and joy of her life. From the time they were born her life revolved around them. She never gave them a challenge that she did not believe in herself. She believed that family came before career. She was an active community member, a den mother in Cub Scouts, a Girl Scout Leader, a PTA President, a school volunteer, an admirable wife, and a devoted and affectionate mother.

In early 1961 the family moved to Farmers Branch, Texas and in 1964 moved to Carrollton where Sue spent most of her remaining years before moving to The Colony TX in the early 1990s.

Sue held many jobs during her life. One of her first jobs after moving to Carrollton was working for the Carrollton Police Department under Chief W.J. Cooper as their first woman crossing guard. She set the standard for the department and paved the way for other women to join the ranks as crossing guards. She was an accountant in various capacities. She worked for the Carrollton Farmers Branch Independent School District as a secretary in several schools. In the early 1970s she went to work for Texas Instruments and then retired in 1992. a brief period, she went back to work for American Pad and Paper. It was there that Sue met an extraordinary special friend named Valerie, who became an incredibly special blessing to her. working several years at American Pad and Paper, Sue determined that perhaps retirement was in reach, so she hung up her spurs to spend more time with her family and grandchildren.

Sue accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. Her faith was important to her, so were her children, and grandchildren. She made sure that her children were raised in a Christian home. She was the epitome of Proverbs 31. She was clothed in dignity, full of grace, wisdom, and influence. She was always willing to help others even to the point of denying things for herself. She provided for her family as a single mother. Even in the last year as her health declined she faced each day with her faith in God, determination, strength, and dignity. Not once did she waiver in her faith or determination. She bestowed respect and love to everyone she met. In return, she received the same.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life. One of her proudest moments was to see Amanda, Jessica and Zachary graduate. , 2 she was able to share in Zacharys graduation cap and gown moment. She opened her eyes for a few minutes, sat up said, Oh, my pride and joy! My pride and joy. She then lay back down. Those words were the last full sentence she spoke. Grandma Sue loved all her grandchildren. She could not spoil them enough. There was no love like Grandmas love.

She is survived by: Son William Dean White (and Deans wife Connie), The Colony, TX, Daughter Linda Kathleen (White) Mansell (and Lindas husband Bill), The Colony, TX, Brothers: James Lee (Vickie), Rowlett, TX and Dewey Lee (Lorraine), Houston, TX. Sister in law: Darlene Lee, The Colony, TX. Grandchildren: Amanda Kathleen Mansell, Jessica Kailey Mansell, Zachary Keaton Mansell, The Colony, TX Cody Nausbum, Jeannette Nausbum, (Cheyenne, WY) Jennifer Martin, (Justin, TX) Great-grandchildren: Kinzlee Nausbum, Jasper Nausbum, Wyatt Nausbum, (Cheyenne, WY) Remington Martin, and Kendlyn Martin, (Justin, TX). A host of a nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by parents: George D. Lee and Golda Clara Lee. Brothers: Bill Lee, George Lee, and Richard Lee. Sisters: Evelyn Gerard and Elizabeth Watson. Father of her children: Bert White.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Prestonwood Rehabilitation and in Plano TX as well as the staff of Compass Hospice for their loving care and kindness. Mom had excellent care and your devotion was exemplary. Thank you for loving our Mom as much as we do.

God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered Come with me.
She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend.
She faced her pain with courage, until the very end.
She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain,
God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain.
