Obituary: Glenn Hobart Westman Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, 87, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on 9, 2011 after a long illness. He was born in McKeesport, PA on 17, 1924, to Gust and Emma Westman. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene. He is also survived by his son Timothy Westman and his wife Patrice of St. Louis, Christine Westman of Houston, Pattie Kafoglis and her husband Charles of Houston, grandchildren Thomas Westman, Andrew Westman and wife Nancy, Colleen Tierney and husband Gene, Mark Westman and wife Megan, JoAnn Westman and her fiancé Jason Jabbari, Mary Westman and Paul Westman of St. Louis, and Daniel Kafoglis, Clare Kafoglis and Michael Kafoglis of Houston, great grandchildren, Mara Westman and Mark and Lucy Tierney. Glenn was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Memorial City Hospital and Parkway Place Retirement for many years. He was also an active member of the Downtown Serra Club. In World War II, he served in the 106th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron in Europe, and in the 505th Military Police Occupational Force in Vienna following the wars end. He attended Auburn University, and was a graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh PA. As an employee of the Gulf Oil Corporation for 42 years, he held various positions, including Assistant Corporate Comptroller, International Comptroller, and Vice-President of Finance and Services of Gulf Oil - USA. Glenn was a former member of the Financial Executive Institute, and had served as President and Chairman of the Board of Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas. he retired from Gulf Oil, he volunteered his services to the Executive Service Corps of Houston, which he helped found, and served as treasurer and member of the Board of Trustees. Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks on , 13 between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m, with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Mass will be held on , 14, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, followed by a private burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinsons Disease Foundation at www.pdf.org or Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund at www.vitascharityfund.org. Obituary: Irene Jane Westholm, age 92, passed away on , 9, 2014 in San Antonio. She was born on May 5, 1922 in Harriman, Tennessee to parents, Clarence and Margaret Wall. Irene migrated to Southern California with her parents during the Great Depression and subsequently graduated from Hamilton High School in Hollywood, California in 1941. She married Army Sergeant Robert L. Westholm (Wes) of Long Beach California on May 3, 1942. During WWII, she worked in aircraft assembly plants production B-17 bombers for our nations war effort. Following WWII, she deployed overseas three times to Germany and Japan as an Army family member and facilitated 13 total family relocations prior to Wess retirement in 1966. She remained active in the community with her church and supporting others in need. A devoted Army wife and mother, Irene was a cancer survivor and enjoyed volunteer work for multiple agencies and churches within the San Antonio area. Following her 70 years of marriage and husbands passing in 2012, Irene is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Scott and husband, Don; son, COL. (Ret.) Robert L. Westholm, Jr. and wife, Prudence; grandchildren, Sara Marrow and husband, Jack, Robert Cochran and wife, Ashley and Andrew Westholm; step-grandchildren, Andrew Scott, Craig Scott and wife, Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Liam and Lilah Cochran, Jacob Marrow, Charlie, Preston, Cody and Savannah Grace Scott. A special thanks to the administrators and staff at The Forum at Lincoln Heights and to Tracy at Heart to Heart Hospice for the care they provided. Obituary: Betty Westhoff, 98, of Dallas passed away on , 11, 2016, at a local Dallas hospital. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born in Kansas City, KS on 26, 1917, to Wade and Lillian Hayward Risser. She was a good student and graduated from Parsons (KS) High School and went on to complete four years of higher education. She married her junior high school, high school and lifetime sweetheart Bill Westhoff on 28, 1941, in Tyler TX, while he was on his lunch break from work. She was a lifetime homemaker who maintained an immaculate and stable home for her family. She loved to raise flowers, especially African Violets, in her spare time. She loved sports especially when her sons were playing. She loved to listen to music especially when Bill was singing. Survivors include her sons William Gary Westhoff and his wife Marsha of Prosper, TX, and Michael Dean Westhoff and his wife Joan of Plano, TX. Gary's children are Jennifer and Patrick Knapp, Jeffrey Westhoff, Cathrine and Rocky Loerch, Holly Adams and Tammy and Nathan Hess plus fourteen grandchildren and Michael's children are Kristin Westhoff, Heather and Derek Davis and Bill Westhoff plus seven grandchildren. Survivors also include numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years William Joseph Westhoff in of 2012, along with her five brothers and sisters. A Service will be at 12:00 pm on , 16, 2016, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Memorial Park . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. He is preceded in death by his parents; Erwin Charles Westhause Sr. and Anita Sue Smith, by his nephew David Westhause Jr. by his wife y Westhause, and by his latest wife Velta Westhause. He is survived by his daughters Pam Woody and her husband Steve, Karen Seiter and her husband Chuck, his brother David Westhause and his wife Roberta, by his his grandsons Trey Secor and wife Nicole, Travis Secor and Taylor Secor, by his nephew Michael Westhause and wife Linda and their three daughters Bailey, Madison and Abigail and numerous friends whom he loved. Erv lived in the the Cypress Cove community for 40 years and served the Cove in many capacities…too many to count. He had a strong faith and was never afraid to share it. He was very active in his church Chapel In The Cove. He was a volunteer fireman and served the fire department until his death. He was a very generous man and could never say no to anyone in need.
