Obituary: Phyllis K. Weir, 63, went to be with the Lord on , 26, 2015 at her home in Conroe, Texas after a four year battle with metastatic colon cancer. She was born 18, 1951 in her grandparents bedroom in Courtland, KS to Phil E. (Cork) & Alice K. Weir. Phyllis graduated from Clear Creek High School, League City, TX, in 1969. In 1997, Phyllis suffered a stroke, which left her disabled on her left side. Despite this challenge, she continued to be active in her church and graduated from ITT Technological Institute with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Drafting and Design in 2005. From 1972 \ 2002, she was employed by Lufkin-Conroe Telephone , TXU and CCI as a Field Draftsman. She retired in 2002 when the entire Engineering Department was dismissed. Phyllis was an active member of RiverPointe Baptist Church, where she taught school for many years. Despite her disability, she continued to enjoy decorative painting, sewing, and needlepoint. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Cork & Alice Weir; her brothers, Marion Weir, Howard Weir, and Leonard Weir; & her sister, Kathleen Weir. She is survived by her brothers, Jack Weir & partner Donna Beile, & Charles Weir & wife Lisa; sisters-in-law Karole Weir & Cynthia Weir; nieces & nephews, Jennifer Weir Stevens & nephew-in-law Lee Stevens, Weir, Shawna Weir Harris & nephew-in-law, Josh Harris, and Justin Weir & daughter Jaidyn Weir; and step-mother, Katie Weir & son, Jimmy & daughter, Kimberly. A visitation and memorial service will be held from 5 - 7 PM on , 29, 2015 at RiverPointe Baptist Church, 700 Gladstell Rd, Conroe, TX 77304. The funeral will be held at RiverPointe Baptist Church on at 11 AM with graveside service at Conroe Memorial Park to follow. Obituary: Patsy Nell Mahurin Weir was born 24, 1936 in Whitney, Texas. She passed from this life into the arms of her Lord on 6, 2011. Patsy loved being a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout leader for her children. She was also active in the PTA serving as President several times. She loved to Dress a Live Doll. Pat also loved to camp and bowl. Pat had many great life long friends and she was also a great friend and caretaker. Patsy Weir left this life covered with prayers and the kisses of those that loved her. She was a loving and caring wife to Billy J. for Fifty-six years. enjoyed a life of camping, RVing and looking for treasures in antique and junk shops. Their home was always filled with love, laughter and grace. In weaving their lives together they created a picture of faithful love for all to see. She was the Mother of Jaye Lynn, Steven and Terry and they are all thankful to God for blessing them with her. Patsy believed in the power of a mothers prayer. She spent countless nights praying for her children. The effects can be seen in the kind of people her children have become. She stood steadfast at their side through the bad and the good and loved them always. She loved Rodney, Ron and Linda as if they were her own children. Patsys children do indeed arise and call her blessed. As a Grandmother there was no one better at spoiling grandchildren. Patsys grandchildren knew they could count on their Meme to come through for them. Nothing pleased her more than spending time with each of her grandchildren. She loved to take the girls shopping and getting them whatever they wanted. Patsy has a plaque on her wall that reads, Grandchildren hold your hand for a while and your heart forever. Her grandchildren believe the same of her. Their Meme held their hand for awhile but will hold their heart forever. Her great grandchildren will always hear wonderful stories of their Meme and how they brought a special light into her eyes even as her light was fading. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Nelson and Ruby Mahurin and a brother Coy Mahurin. Patsy is survived by her loving Husband Billy J. Weir, a sister Sue Mahurin Weir and a brother Roy Mahurin, a daughter Jaye Lynn Turnbow, two sons Steven and Terry Weir. Grandchildren Joshua Weir, Matthew Swihart, Channing Weir, Kyle Weir, Sarah Swihart Dunlap, Ashton Weir, Clay Weir and Whitney Weir. She also is survived by her great Grandchildren Gabriel Weir, Shelby Swihart, Kamryn Weir, Nolan Weir and Arie Cotton. Pallbearers will be Ron Cotton, Rodney Turnbow, Joshua Weir, Matthew Swihart, Kyle Weir and Clay Weir. Family will receive friends and family at Ellis between the hours of 6-8 pm , 8, 2011. Services will be at Golf Course Rd. Church of Christ (3500 W. Obituary: Palmer K. Weir was born in Prattville, Alabama on 7, 1932. He resided in San Antonio, Texas. Known as P.K. and Opa to many, he passed away 21, 2010, in San Antonio. He was surrounded by family, friends, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. P.K. entered the army and while stationed there, met his wife of 54 years, Anne S. Oma Weir. He earned a college degree from The University of Arizona Wildcats with a Bachelor of Science. Palmer worked for Hewlett Packard in the infant stages of the company, working directly with the military and NASA on testing equipment used during the Apollo space program. Marshall Space Flight was home away from home for him for many years. Palmer and Anne were members of the All Saints Anglican Church. Opa always had a smile, helping hand, or words of encouragement for anyone who would need it. He was stoic in death and in life, smiling and laughing at our jokes. Opa is survived by his children Deborah L. Weir, Daniel K. Weir, and Paul H. Weir; Daughter in Law, Regina M.
