Obituary: Vera Wanda Lee Webster, age 89, passed away 8, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on 14, 1925 to William Theodore and Mandy Elizabeth Maddox in Clinton, Arkansas and was the youngest of eight children. Wanda was raised in Malden, Missouri. She graduated from high school in Clinton, Arkansas in 1943 and in 1945 graduated from Clinton State Vocational Training School. Wanda moved to Kennett, Missouri and worked for the Bank of Kennett, Missouri. Her family moved to Plainview in 1949. Wanda married Gilliland Webster in Plainview, Texas 3, 1949. Wanda and Gil had one daughter, Brenda, who was the joy of their lives. Wanda worked for the Hale State Bank as the Assistant Cashier for 30 years. Wanda became a Real Estate Broker in 1979 and opened Webster Realtors. She was a Real Estate Broker for 31 years. Wanda is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Webster Olson and her husband, Gewyn; one grandson, Chase Carlisle and his wife, Karina; granddaughter, Juliana Carlisle. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Tom Carlisle; and the son she never had, Joe Flores. Other nieces and nephews include Geneva Gee, Dorwin Hodges, Glenda and Les Vaughn, Wendell Limbocker, Tammy and Terry Shanks, Fleta Hutchison, Larry Godfrey, Winfred Bannister, and Verna Lovell. Visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. on , 12, 2015 at Seaside Chapel with a Service to be held at 4:00 p.m. the same evening. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on , 14, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Park in Plainview, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Wandas memory to the Children Advocacy of the Coastal Bend for abused children or the Equine Sharing Program for children and adults with physical, mental, emotional and learning disabilities. |

Obituary: On 11, 2010, W.O. "Web" Webster, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior. He passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas surrounded by his cherished family. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas to his parents Arthur Webster and Emelia Wehmeyer Webster. He graduated from, then, Southwestern Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, Louisiana where he met and later married Dolores George of Kaplan, Louisiana. Married for 59 years, W.O. and Dolores raised 3 daughters: Melanie, Susan and Robin. Everyone who knew Web knew his love for family first, his value of friendship, and his faith in the Lord. He also enjoyed playing poker, telling stories, and the laughter of a good joke. He recently created and presented a memorial scholarship in honor of his beloved wife, Dolores, at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Web served in the United States Army in World War II, as a combat medic in the 5th Infantry Division of the Third Army. He was awarded a Bronze Star while serving in Europe. returning from combat, he graduated from SLI with a degree in Chemistry. In the 1950s he was an instructor and football coach at Allen Academy in Bryan, Texas. Returning to Port Arthur, he had a successful career as a supervisor at B.F.Goodrich and retired with 31 years of service. He served as president of the Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce, he was the president of Webster & Associates, a management consulting firm, he taught management as an adjunct professor at Lamar Institute of Technology, and he was chairman of the board of The Economic Development Corporation in Port Arthur. He also volunteered as a mediator with the Jefferson Mediation Board, and served as president of the congregation at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Groves. Web was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Emelia Webster, his wife Dolores Webster, and his two eldest daughters, Melanie Ann Robbins and Susan Ann Webster. He surely is happy to be reunited with them in Heaven. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Webster Franklin and husband Jimmie Franklin, son-in-law, David Robbins, grandson, Christopher Webster Welch and wife Summer Welch, grandson, Matthew Franklin, granddaughter, Lindsay Webster Welch Cassidy and husband Dereck Cassidy, granddaughter, Lauren Webster Welch, granddaughter, Becki Franklin Stewart and husband Ken Stewart and great-grandchildren, Savannah Welch, Alexis Cassidy, Jocelyn Cassidy, Kendall Stewart and Parker Stewart. He was anxiously awaiting the birth of his first great-grandson, Hunter Welch. Visitation is 15, from 4:00pm to 7:30pm with a wake service at 5:00pm, at Grammier-Oberle in Port Arthur. Shirlie was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Minnie Ford; and her son, David Kendrick Webster. Obituary: Sheri Avery Webster passed away peacefully on the morning of 13th at the young age of 43. She was a loving, caring wife, daughter, sister, aunt and granddaughter. Her many friends all knew they could rely on her steadfast loyalty and nonjudgmental support at all times. We all share the grief and terrible sense of loss from her passing much too soon. Sheri was born on St. Patricks Day, 17, 1972. Appropriately, from the start she embodied the vibrant spirit and joy identified with that celebratory holiday. At an early age she was nicknamed Tigger or Tig for the Winnie the Pooh character who had such a bouncy spirit and care-free approach to life. As she matured, Sheri expressed her free-spirit through the development of her many artistic talents. She was a gifted painter, writer and Karaoke singer (the girl could flat-out sing). However, she was most proud of her successful creation and management of her own Myofascial therapy business. In this specialized field, Sheri was able to provide healing comfort as well as physical therapy. In the working world, as in all else, she preserved her independence, while enjoying the social interaction with her clients who quickly became new friends. Sheri was very tender-hearted person who always empathized with the underdog - both with people and with animals. No stray dog was safe from her clutches. Sheris first two rescue dogs, Baby and Bosco had long, happy lives under her care. Her three current rescue dogs, Lucy, Winston and Wylie will miss her greatly. She and Andrew particularly loved travel, especially Puerto Vallarta, and they traveled together extensively. Being a true Pisces, Sheri found her most comfort and joy in her spiritual connection with the ocean and its soothing force. Sheri leaves behind her soul-mate and loving husband of 16 years, Andrew Webster. Also preserving her memory with love and gratefulness are her Mom and Dad, Kay and Lee Avery, her sister Rhonda McLeod (Tracy), her niece Kaylee, Grandfather Marvin Stringer, Grandmother Genelle Avery, and numerous adoring Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Sheri had told the family that she wished to be cremated and that there be no formal ceremony. Also remembering Sheri are Andrews Mom and Dad, Joycelyn and Billy Webster, his two sisters Amie Ford (Matt) and Ashley Gibbs (Jesse) and their children, Grandmother Mama Joyce, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. |
