Obituary: Services for Hazel V. Watson, 93, of Harker Heights, will be at 2 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers in Killeen. Her remains will be laid to rest next to her husband in Newport News, Va. Mrs. Watson died Oct. 2, 2014, in a local nursing home. She was born 3, 1921, in Bristol, Va., to Paul P. and Nannie Chatman Chapman. She married r Evans Watson in Bristol and was a dedicated wife and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Warren Watson; siblings, Woodrow Chapman, Estelle Watson, Madeleine Booher and Pauline Polly Mitchell. Obituary: Harry Watson, 82, passed away on 31, 2017, in his home, in Plano, Texas. He was born on 15, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to Martha and Joseph Watson. Harry grew up in Irwin, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shortly after graduating from Carnegie Melton University in 1954, he was married and had four sons. Harry served in the U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, then worked as a metallurgical engineer at Alcoa. In 1976, he attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he studied law. graduation, he practiced law in Sioux City, Iowa for three years, where he met and married Bobbie on 12, 1983. In 1983, he joined the Huggard, Thurman, and Tucker Law Firm in Dallas, Texas, becoming a partner in 1994. In 1997, he joined the Loacke and Pernell Law Firm, from which he retired in 2001. Harry loved fishing, camping, hiking, skiing, and traveling with family - making memories which he treasured. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Watson in 1990; his father, Joseph Watson, in 1993; and his sister, Miriam Svedberg in 2007. Harry is survived by his wife, Bobbie Watson of Plano; sons, David Watson of Huntsville, Alabama, Tom Watson and his wife, Cindy, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jeffrey Watson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Eric Watson of Tampa, Florida; his brother, David Watson of Plymouth, Minnesota; grandchildren, Rebecca Watson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Brittany Watson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; stepdaughters, Roxanne Gould of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Ronna Lee of Brandon Mississippi; step-grandchildren, Brooke Litchliter, Kassie Dicus, Gabe Siert, Ronelle Siert; step-great-grandchildren, Alex Litchliter and Amara Siert. A memorial service will be held on , 28, 2017 at 10am in Ted Dickey West , 8011 Frankford Rd., Dallas, TX 75252. Obituary: Hailey Marie passed away at Southwest Hermann Memorial Hospital, born nearly five weeks early and weighing only 4lbs 10oz. Hailey was able to capture the hearts of all that surrounded her. She had a head full of curly black hair, soft brown eyes and acclaimed Watson nose. She was born 20, 2016 at 10:28 am. Hailey was greeted at the pearly gates by angles who placed her safely in the arms of Uncle Carl Bridgewater as her Great Grandmother Melvina Dunbar Bridgewater, her Great Aunt Sylvia Bridgewater and her Great Cousin Gerald Bridgewater watched singing and praising. Hailey is survived by her mother, father, her sister Elizabeth Bridgewater, her brother Desmond Brown Jr. and her Grandmother Alice Bridgewater. Her aunts Nyieesha Bridgewater and Sidrikia Bridgewater and a host of cousins and extended family. Hailoey's celebration of life will be held 30, 2016 2pm-5pm at Garden Oaks & Crematory. Her final resting place will be at home where she belongs. We are grateful for your condolences, but decline flowers and would prefer balloons instead. Obituary: Grover Albert Watson passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on , 15, 2015, in Southlake. He was 91 years old. : 3 p.m. in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Grover was born in Fort Worth on 2, 1924, to Walter J. and Mary Watson. He was one of 12 children. His father passed at a very early age and was a member of the Knights of Pythias, which supported a children's home in Weatherford known by some as the "Castle on the Hill." Because of his father's membership Grover and several of his siblings were able to move to the home and finish their education. He later joined the U.S. Navy where he served his tour in the South Pacific and Europe until his discharge in 1946. He married Vontilla Buck, the love of his life, in May 1947. Together they loved to travel, fish and take their yearly deer hunting trips. Vontilla learned to love his hobbies and that included all kinds of work on behalf of the Pythian order. Always vowing to give back to the Pythian order, he became a member of the Knights of Pythias 1946. Grover became the first student to ever graduate from the home to later become the grand chancellor of the state of Texas. He dedicated many years to serving the Pythian order and seeing that other children would have the same opportunity he was given. He was a lifetime member and his heart remained at the "Castle on the Hill." Grover retired from Swift & Co. after 28 years and resided in North Richland Hills over 30 years. He and Vontilla later moved to Southlake. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Paul Allen Brown; his parents; and all 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors: His wife, Vontilla Watson; daughter, Pricilla Fox (George); daughter, Cindy Martin (John); grandchildren, Denisa Mohr, Tammy Havener, Rob Worley, Janet Slusser, Jamie Carter, Mark Fox and Matthew Fox; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great many nieces and nephews he loved so dearly. |
