Obituary: Merlene Frederick Waters, 75, beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on , May 5, 2015, in Round Rock. Merlene was born in Austin, Texas, on 24, 1939, to Herman and Myrtie Opal (Wright) Frederick. She grew up in Austin where she graduated from McCallum High School and business school in Austin. Merlene worked for doctors offices, the Texas School for the Blind, and retired as a state employee after working for MHMR for many years. Merlene was a member of Northwest Baptist Church where she worked tirelessly in many areas including the special events team and the administrative team. Merlene loved her friends and family fiercely; she loved them unconditionally; she had the unique ability to make those whom she loved feel like she loved them the most. We will miss her very much. She is survived by her husband Robert F. Waters; her best friend Carolyn Grimes; her daughter Deborah Peterson of Bertram and children, Jillian, Jason, and Dillon; her son Keith Spinn of Austin; her son Craig Spinn and wife Kelle of Thorndale and their daughters, Megan and Kristen, her step-daughter Shirley Watters and husband C.J. of Alabama and their daughter Sarah; her step-son Robert Waters of Austin and his daughters Crystal and Ashley; her step-son Paul Waters of Austin and wife Kristie, and their children, Larissa, Nathanael, Rachael, Abigail, Katrina, and Brian; her step-daughter Amber Waters of California, and children, Keelan, Dante, Andre, Sedrick, and Adrian; and six great-grandchildren. Merlene is preceded in death by her mother and father, Herman and Myrtie Opal Frederick, and her brothers, Jim Frederick, Bob Frederick, and James Frederick. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Austin Hospice and the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., , May 8, 2015 at Northwest Baptist Church located at 6301 Woodrow Ave. Austin, Texas 78757. Obituary: Mary Jane Waters, 48, passed away on , 4th, 2010 in a local medical center. service will be held at 11:00 a.m. , 9th, at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Pastor Riley Hood officiating. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary was born 16, 1962 in Sinton, Texas, the daughter of Leonard Jefferson, Sr. and Etta V. Barnes. She liked to listen to music and dance. Mary was the Mission President of St. Luke Church and a nursery aid until 1995. She took in anybody and fed everyone. She was the founder of Feed the Needy at St. John on Carver. Mrs. Waters was a volunteer for Love and Ministries. A big woman with a big heart, she was loved by all. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronnie Dwayne Cotton, grandson, Jeremiah Eugene Fuller, and niece, Triva Barnes. Survivors include longtime companion, Bobby Ray Allen; two sons, Damotrei T. Lee-Waters and Torris Shaw; daughters, Laticia Waters-Willis and Lacreasha Waters; brother, Leonard Jefferson, Jr.; sister, Betty Ann Reed; grandchildren, Alisha D. Obituary: Frances Lucille (West) Waters passed away on 21, 2016. She was born on 31, 1919 in Cooper, Texas to Eunice (Morgan) and John Emmett West. Graduated from Cooper High School and married her high school sweetheart, James Earl Waters, on 24, 1940. were married for 54 years before he passed away in 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and five brothers. Lucille was a homemaker before returning to the workforce in 1957. She was office manager for Drs. Stephen W. Cobb and Hugh D. Murray for over 20 years before retiring in 1978. She was a 70+ year member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church where she served many years as School Department Secretary. She was a founding member of the F.U.N. Club, a well-known social club whose purpose was “Friendship, Unity and Nonsense”. Lucille held every office from President to Committee Chairman throughout the years of the club. She was also a member of the Oak Cliff Women’s Club, Lecture Luncheon, Garden Club and Book Review. Lucille was an accomplished seamstress who designed clothes for her daughters and granddaughters until age 75. She was also an outstanding hostess who entertained with flair. She loved sports and played tennis in her teen years, softball in her middle years and bowling from her 30’s until her middle 70’s. She played bridge up until a few months before her death. She is survived by daughters, Sharon Rigsbee and husband, Ken and Sheila Taylor and husband, Wayne. She has four grandchildren: Heather and Scott Rigsbee, Wendi Marik and husband, Kerry and Brooke Brune and husband, Juston; Seven great grandchildren: Thomas Kielman, Cade Gavranovic, Taylor Dawn, Juston Bryce and Kyndal Brune, Lexi and Dylan Marik. |
