Obituary: Bessie Louise Warner, age 92, passed away on , 14, 2010 in San Antonio. She was born on 31, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan, to parents, Edwin and Bessie Robinson. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio, as well as an active member in numerous womens circle groups within the church. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Edwin and Bessie Robinson. She was a beloved wife and devoted mother, and will be deeply missed. Bessie is survived by her husband, Albert Warner; daughters, Elaine Armstrong, Carol De Leon and husband Jimmy; son, Kenneth Warner; grandchildren, Jason Birmingham, Erin Birmingham, and Micah De Leon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Olga Cole and husband Calvin. Obituary: San Antonio—Anna Marie Warner, 86, formerly of San Antonio, Texas, peacefully passed from this life to be with her savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on 22, 2014 at Princess Pines Assisted Living in Durham, North Carolina. Anna Marie was born 4, 1928, in Laredo, Texas, to John T. and Leonore Gallahan (Martinez). She spent her childhood in Laredo and San Antonio. She was an Army veteran and served at Fort Lee, Virginia and Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas. She met and married Richard Allen Warner in El Paso in 1952 and left behind four children of that marriage, Richard A. Warner, Jr. (wife Paula), of Culpepper, Virginia, Mary Ann Warner, of Raleigh, North Carolina, James E. Warner (wife Julie) of Spring Branch, Texas, and Anthony C. Warner (wife Rebecca) of Bloomington, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, Kathy Warner, Cynthia Knuth, Steven Warner, Michael Warner, Randy Warner, Christine Lahair, Tracy Hall, Christopher Warner, Jacob Warner, Naomi Lumpford, and Jeremy Warner, and 9 great-grandchildren. Anna Marie was preceded in death by her sister, Flossie Hogan (husband, Robert). She is survived by her brother, John T. Gallahan (wife Lois) of Gaithersburg, Maryland, brother, William E. Gallahan (wife Irene) of San Antonio, Texas, her children and grandchildren. Obituary: Albert Warner, 97, passed away on , May 3, 2010, in San Antonio. He was born 27, 1913, in Detroit, Michigan to Anton and Philomena Warner. He was a loving father, husband, and brother, who dedicated his whole life to his family. He proudly served his country during World War II, spending most of his years during the war in North Africa and Italy. He was awarded the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Wreath for outstanding service in support of combat operations, and a good conduct ribbon. In 1988 he moved to San Antonio with his wife, Bessie, where he enjoyed the good weather and golfing. Albert and his wife attended First Presbyterian Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sofia, and his wife of 64 years, Bessie L. Warner, who passed away only three weeks before him. Albert is survived by his daughters, Elaine Armstrong, Carol De Leon and husband, Jimmy; son, Kenneth; grandchildren, Jason Birmingham, Erin Birmingham, and Micah De Leon; sister and brother-in-law, Olga Cole and husband Calvin; niece, Karen Austin and nephew, Bobby Holm. His beloved wife, Kathleen Hamilton Warneke, also preceded him in death on 11, 1996. He is survived by his son, Bobby Warneke of San Antonio, TX. Bob graduated from Harlandale High School in 1945, and received his B.S. Degree in Animal Husbandry from Texas A&M in 1949. He saw combat as a heavy tank unit commander in Korea, and returned to civilian life in 1953. Bob was employed by Kelly AFB. He retired in 1987 as Deputy Chief of the Supply and Distribution Directive. A devoted Aggie all his life, Bob attended many class reunions, keeping in touch with former classmates. He has been a Master Mason for 50 plus years. Bob was very active in raising donations for Boysville. He was longtime member of the Texas A&M Century Club. |
