Obituary: David Lee Walker, 59, passed away on , 7, 2011. He was born in Austin, Texas on 27, 1951 to Odis and Nelda Walker. As a young man growing up in Austin, he excelled in sports, especially baseball. He graduated from Reagan High School in Austin in 1969. Always interested in aviation, Lee trained as a career pilot at Central Texas , receiving an Associate in Applied Science degree in 1972. He worked at Walker Tire , his familys business, for almost 40 years. In his free time, Lees favorite activities were hunting, fishing, cooking and enjoying life with his family and friends. He was actively involved with Wimberley Church of Christ. Lee was a loving husband and father. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his generosity, loyalty, and unconditional love and acceptance. Lees Christian faith was evident in the way he cared for other people. He will be greatly missed by his family, as well as his many friends and loyal customers. He is survived by his wife Sue, his son David and wife Julie of Austin, daughter Emily Chumchal and husband Matt of Fort Worth, grandchildren Tate and Grant Walker, and Ella and Lily Chumchal. He is also survived by his parents, Odis and Nelda Walker; brothers, Wayne Walker and wife Regan and Roy Walker, all of Austin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A memorial service and reception will be held at 10:00 a.m. on , 12, 2011 at Hyde Park Church of Christ, 310 West 43rd Street, in Austin. My Story \\\\\\\\\\\\ Darrell Wayne Walker I, affectionately known as Big Darrell was born to the parentage of the late James and LuVella London Walker on 8, 1965. Being the aby of six, he was truly spoiled, but in spite of that he was full of mothers wit and wisdom for his age. Darrell graduated from Jefferson Moore High School in 1983 and was very active in athletics. His favorite sport was football and he excelled as a linebacker. He was loved and admired by his classmates, faculty and peers. graduating from high school, he attended McLennan Community . During his studies, he found the time to marry the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Sevela Michelle on 2, 1984. shared a story book romance that lasted over 32 years. During this union the Lord blessed them with four beautiful children: Darrell Wayne I, Tiffany Monique, Bianca AJahn, and Hailee Noel. Darrell began his working career as the Night Manager at Taco Torch during high school. graduating from high school, he began a career at Coca-Cola where he was employed as a Vending Mechanical Engineer for 17 years. While working at Coca-Cola, he continued his education at MCC studying to be a Radiologist. While studying and working, he was offered a job with the United States Postal Service. He worked there from 2000 until his demise despite his medical condition. Darrell never met a stranger and was loved by everyone that he came in contact with. His smile could light up a room! He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and nephew. To know Darrell was to love him! Darrell will truly be missed because he was a gentle, giant of a man that was known as an encourager, counselor and God-fearing man. Even though his body grew weak and weary, he never complained. He exemplified extraordinary strength and faith. His charming ways and smiling face are a pleasure to recall. He had a kindly word for each and died beloved to all. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Ronnie Mosley Sr. and Michael Walker. , 12, 2014, Darrell stood on the banks of Jordan and caught the Old Ship of Zion to his new home. He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Sevela Michelle; a son: Darrell II Lil D, Houston, Tx; three daughters: Tiffany Tiffy Mojo, Bianca Tainta, and Hailee Shushe, all of Waco, Tx; god-son, Elijah Boarman; father-in-law, Rev. Obituary: Graveside services for Daphna Losa Walker, 86, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Huntington . Mrs. Walker was born 11, 1927 in Burke, Texas, the daughter of the late Ona and Clyde Martin. She passed away , 31, 2014. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Theresa Walker of Longview; grandchildren, Ryan Walker of Houston, Jordan Walker of Longview, Brandon Gleason and wife Ashley of Longview, and Heather Robbins and husband Tom of Georgetown; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Lou Carroll of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Hulon Walker in 1993; brothers, Pete, Bill and Delbert Martin; and sister, Louise Bridges. Mrs. Walker was Meme to her grandchildren, who were her passion. She was a great cook. At family gatherings, it is remembered that Losa and Hoot (Hulon) enjoyed providing great food, usually at the grandparents\ home. She was devoted housewife and mother, who also enjoyed taking Robert to his weekend golf tournaments \ those were happy times to her. She was retired from Sears & Roebuck where she was a switchboard operator and accounting clerk. Mrs. Walker was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Walkers family wishes to extend special thanks to Glenda Smith, Steve Walker, and the wonderful staff at Woodland Heights Medical for their loving care.
