Obituary: Sharon Ann Wagner, age 62, passed away on , 18th, 2008, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sharon graduated from St. Marys University and received her masters degree from UTSA. She married Edward Buzz Wagner in 1968. During her married life, she traveled the world to Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Sharon was a gifted teacher. She also served as a PTA president and school board member. Sharon was an accomplished tennis player who won numerous tournaments in Texas, Florida and Mexico. She subsequently became a tennis teaching professional, certified by the U.S. Professional Tennis Association. Upon returning to San Antonio in 1990, Sharon became the Director of Tennis for Northern Hills Country Club until her retirement in 2000. She was a former treasurer of the San Antonio Professional Tennis Association. Besides her love of travel, Sharon was an avid reader, artist and photographer. She was a new member of St. Padre Pio Catholic Church. This loving wife, mother and grandmother is survived by her husband, LTC Ret. Edward J. Wagner, Jr., daughter, Kristin Monzon, son-in-law Jose, granddaughter Adrianna and a brother, Craig Chapman of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by numerous cousins. Rudie was born in 1922 in Moulton, Texas to Joe and Mary (Matula) Wagner. Rudie was raised with seven siblings and was taught at an early age about farming and ranching, which he continued doing throughout his life. Rudie was called into the Army to serve his country in of 1942. He was a sharpshooter and earned WWII victory medal, campaign medal with 4 bronze stars, bronze star medal and a good conduct medal. On 1, 1945 Rudy was honorably discharged. Rudie married Mary Caka on 24, 1947 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and they made their home in Shiner. Rudie and Mary were blessed with two sons and three daughters. He was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, KJT and the American Legion. Rudie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two infant brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife; Mary, sons; Raymond and Alvin, daughters; Marlene Parr, Janice Lehnert and Delores Panus, sisters; Bessie Kubenka and Della Kloesel, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren along with many friends. Obituary: Ruby Wagner went to meet her Lord and Savior at the age of 88 on , May 8, 2017. She was born 26, 1928, in Round Top, TX, to David and Leona (Schroeder) Doerr. She graduated from Round Top Carmine High School in 1945, where she played volleyball and was a cheerleader. She married her high school sweetheart, Alfred Wagner, Jr., on 4, 1949. moved to Station, Texas, where Al finished his college education. graduation, they moved to Odessa where Al obtained a job in the oil industry. Ruby always gave her utmost loving support to her husband as they relocated many times-Lubbock, Monahans, Sinton, Corpus Christi and finally, Houston. many years as a geologist in Houston, Al ventured out and built a successful oil and gas exploration company with Ruby as his loyal supporter. Times were hard, but being a frugal German couple, they managed to put money aside every month to provide for their family. Ruby was a member of the Houston Geological Wives Association (now HPAC), where she maintained her membership for the rest of her life. She and Al were staunch supporters of the Winedale Historical Society, Als family homestead, and served on the Board of Directors there for 9 years. Her passions in life were her three precious children, her home, gardening, music, dancing, world travel, the fighting Texas A & M football team and band, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and of course, spending as much time as possible with her loving husband of 62 years. Ruby was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend with a heart as big as Texas filled with love for all people. Her children deemed her their Angel on Earth, as she was adored and admired as their precious matriarch and queen. She always dressed impeccably and was the subject of admiration by others. She is surely now dancing in heaven with the love of her life, Al, to their favorite song, Drinking Champagne by George Strait-they were such a sight to behold on the dance floor! She is survived by daughter Linda Wagner Ward and husband, Cecil Ward of Phoenix, sons James G. Wagner and wife, Karen, of Spicewood and Ross E. Wagner and wife, Cassandra, of Houston; and grandchildren Michael Ward and wife, Alicia, of Austin Texas, Dr. James M. Holmes Jr. and wife Mandy, Summer Holmes Warner and husband, Andy Warner, and Blake Ward, all of Phoenix, Rubianne Wagner, Karina Wagner, and Brendan Wagner of Houston; great grandchildren Charly and Drew Warner and Jon Zachary Holmes. She was predeceased by her husband, Al, her mother and father, David and Leona Doerr, her sister, Lorean Swafford and brother, Loyd. Obituary: Raymond Lester Wagner, 84, was called home on , 11, 2014 just days after celebrating 67 years of marriage to his lifelong love, Imogene. He was born in Blanco, Texas on 26, 1929 to Solomon James Wagner and Ethel Mae Brooks. He started his working life building fences and sheering sheep alongside his father and 2 brothers. On 6, 1947, Raymond married Imogene Triesch, & the two moved to Corpus Christi. It was there that he began working in road construction with Mickey McGuire & then as a superintendant for J.M. Dellinger, working on several notable highway projects including the building of I-35. In 1968, Raymond moved his family to San Antonio, where he became a partner in Cloud Paving in 1971. In 1976, he founded Wagner & Sons Paving with his sons Ronnie & Steve. retiring from the construction industry in 1991, he continued to work as a rancher & farmer, & joked that on s hed head home from church & work on the couch. In 1992, he formed Imogene Wagner Co, Inc., which in 1995, with his son Steve, branched into Wagner Materials & Construction. Raymond truly knew how to live life, & brought joy & laughter to everyone he met. He is described by many as a man of integrity, humor, strength, compassion, generosity & resolve. He will be remembered by his friends & family not only for his countless witty catchphrases, but also for the Godly & incredibly loving man he was throughout life. Raymond has been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church since 1973, in addition to being a member of Greater SA Builders Exchange, Association of General Contractors of Texas, Texas Farm Bureau, Twin Sisters Hall Board, Anhault Germania Farmer Verein & A member of the unofficial Bulverde Feed & Seed Mens Coffee & Taco Society where he said they didn gossip, only shared prayer requests. He was preceded in death by his father, mother & step-mother Josephine Weaver Wagner, his grandson Toby Wagner, and 7 siblings. He is survived by wife Imogene, daughter Sallie, son Ronnie Wagner & wife Karen, son Steve Wagner & wife Marcie, daughter Lynn Ann Denny & husband James, brother RV Wagner, sisters Yvonne Triesch and Helen Knoll, 14 grandchildren & their spouses, 19.2 great grandchildren, & the Triesch family. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Paul-Bulverde or the charity of your choice. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00pm on , Dec. 14 at Crofts-Crow in Blanco.
