Obituary: Ken Wytiaz, 61, of Clinton Tennessee passed away peacefully in his home during the morning, , 2nd. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him, but may they find comfort knowing he died where he wanted, surrounded by people who loved him. Ken was a loving husband and father who put family first, yet managed a successful career in rock mining. Second only to his family, those he worked with will miss his advice, sense of humor and ability to get the job done right. Ken truly lived a charmed life and was taken too soon. Long day, hard night. He is survived by his loving wife, Beth, his sons Greg and Tom and his brother Gary. The service will be a small private affair with close family members.

Obituary: Rebecca Romer Wyss, age 65, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly on , 1, 2014.

Rebecca was born on 3, 1949 in Louisville, KY, daughter of the late Norvin and Susan Romer. thirty years of faithful service including twenty years at Cameron Middle School, Rebecca retired from Metro Nashville Public Schools, where she lovingly taught music. She was also a proud past member of the Nashville Symphony where she played 2nd violin.

She is preceded in death by her step-mother, Thelma Romer.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Michael Wyss; son, Alan Wyss (Kristine); grandson, Tyler Wyss; brother, Chris Romer (Pam); several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at eleven-thirty in the morning on , 6, 2014 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton . Entombment will follow in Woodlawn's Cross Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from four o'clock in the afternoon until seven on , 5, 2014 and for one hour prior to service time at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton .

Obituary: Robert Burns Wysor, age 86 of Clinton, passed away peacefully on 9, 2015.
He was born 13, 1928 in War, West Virginia to the late Charles Naff and Elizabeth Wysor. He grew up in Honaker, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech in mechanical engineering. He worked in Huntsville and Birmingham, Alabama and Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He was a private pilot and loved to fly in his earlier years. He was very mechanically inclined, taught by his father, an aircraft mechanic in WWI. Most of his work in Huntsville was on the space program where he helped design an experiment that went to the moon. A highlight of his career was meeting the astronauts.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1946.
He moved to Clinton, Tennessee in 1977 to work with Oak Ridge National Lab. He was a long time active member of Memorial United Methodist Church where he helped develop a membership database and installed a system for the hearing-impaired in the sanctuary.
In retirement, he loved his daily walks, working with his computer, and studying his Bible.
Bob enjoyed working with his bird feeders and was endlessly in pursuit of a contraption to foil the squirrels.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Walls, Patty Wyatt, and Joanne Howard.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Esther Lee; brother, Charles Wysor (Katie); brother, Larry Wysor (Carolyn); daughter, Karen Wysor Reeves (Ward) of Evanston, Illinois; son, Wes Wysor (Karen) of Farragut, Tennessee; and son, Conrad Wysor (Gina) of Trussville, Alabama; grandchildren, Austin and Layton Wysor, Sarah, Jessica, and Abigail Wysor, and Sophia and Katy Reeves. The family will receive friends , 11th from 1-3 PM at Holley-Gamble in Clinton. service will begin at 3 oclock in the chapel. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimers foundation at www.alzfdn.org.

Obituary: Mary Sue Finley Wyse, 86, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on , 24, 2016.
Mary Sue was born 28, 1930 to parents Robert and Belle Finley in Laurens, SC. She was the wife of Lane Wyse (d 2015) and a beloved teacher for the Chattanooga Public Schools and Columbia, SC Public Schools where she taught 1st and 2nd grade children. She graduated Erskine with a bachelors degree in Education and was very active in the support of the college.
Mary Sue was known for her love of children. In addition to teaching elementary school for many years, she was also active in Trinity Lutheran Church, as a gifted and devoted School Teacher for young children.
Mary Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Benjamin D Wyse Jr (Lane) whom she met at Erskine , her parents Robert and Belle Finley, and her sister Robbie Lee Finley Denner.
Mary Sue is survived by her two sons, Benjamin D (Jamie) Wyse III (Debra) and Robert Michael Wyse (Jackie); two grandsons, Justin Wyse (Angie) and Ryan Wyse; two great grandchildren, Logan and Layla.
Mary Sue was actively involved as a member of the Prudhomme Fort Colonial Dames XVIIc, Member of the National Society United States Daughters of 1812, and the Moccasin Bend Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution - where she served many years as its Registrar.
Mary Sue loved watching birds and always had fun stories about her Bluebirds or Downy Woodpeckers in the backyard. She loved wildflowers and caring for her garden. She was very artistic and creative, an avid sewer and knitter. She spent hours researching family genealogy and used this passion to help others in her role as the Registrar with the D.A.R.
Mary Sue was also an active supporter of Scouting. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts when her boys were young as well as active in helping Mike and Jamie though Boy Scouts.
Mary Sue was probably best known for her talents in the kitchen. She was an avid baker and candy maker. Family and friends always commented on her fried chicken, pineapple upside down cake, and banana pudding.
The family will receive friends on , 29, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Chattanooga -North Chapel and on , 30, 2016 From 10 - 11 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
service for Sue will be conducted at 11 am on , 30, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Stanley Combs officiating.

Obituary: Benjamin DeLaney (Lane) Wyse Jr. , 87, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on , 6, 2015. .

Lane was born 20, 1927 to parents Ben and Mary Wyse in Saluda, SC. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II where he was trained as a radio and radar operator. receiving an Honorable Discharge, he completed his baccalaureate studies at Erskine , Due West, SC. He went on to earn his Masters Degree at Vanderbilt University and a PhD, Organic Chemistry at the University of South Carolina. Lane served for a number of years on the Board of Trustees of Erskine .

Lane was a Senior Research Chemist at E. I. du Pont de Nemours and where he retired after 37 years. He and his research team worked to improve products like Nylon, Orlon, Lycra, and carbon fibers.

Lane is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Sue, son Mike and his wife Jackie, son Jamie and his wife Debra, Grandsons Ryan and Justin, Great Grand Children Libby, Logan, and Layla.

Lane was active throughout his life with Boy Scouts of America. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout, awarded the Vigil Honor of the Order of Arrow and the Silver Beaver Award. He was a Wood Badge Instructor for the development of adult leaders in Scouting. Lane helped found Troop 214 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hixson, TN. He also was involved with the acquisition and development of the Skymont Boy Scout Camp near Monteagle, TN.

Growing out of his Naval Radio Operator training, Lane became an enthusiast of Amateur Radio. He earned many awards and was a well-known member of the Ham Radio community. His call sign \ N4OM \ was recognized worldwide as he obtained the Top of the DXCC Honor Roll. This is one of the ultimate accomplishments in Ham Radio. Lane was a life member of the ARRL. His impact on the amateur radio community was especially felt by the scores of aspiring Hams he assisted through classes he taught at Chattanooga State Community in the 70s and 80s.

Lane was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hixson, TN since 1963. He served on the Church Council for many years.

Lanes plain-spoken and honest approach have inspired many people to follow his example in service and integrity. Lane will be missed by everyone who knew him.
