Obituary: Warren Wayne Wheeler, 59, of Columbia, passed away , May 14, 2016. He was the devoted and beloved son of Margaret Bishop Wheeler and the late Robert Wheeler. Warren graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1974, attended UT Knoxville, and marched in The Pride of the Southland ing Band. He lived in New Orleans for many years and became an accomplished stained glass artist. In later years, Warren relocated back to Columbia and was very involved in Columbia s. Warren is predeceased by his father, Robert Wheeler and his life partner, Bob Spedding. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Wheeler of Columbia; sister, Jane (Jay) Johnson of Shelbyville; nephew, Mark Johnson of Murfreesboro; niece, Elizabeth Johnson of Lewisburg; and a host of extended family members and loving friends whom he considered his family. A private family memorial is planned. Oakes & Nichols Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Obituary: Steven Wheeler, 48, of Bartlett, TN passed away 13, 2015. Mr. Wheeler was a reserved, respectful, intelligent, hard-working family man, and an Army veteran. He was a loving father, kind-hearted patriot, and dedicated husband. He loved playing the guitar and watching YouTube videos. He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Wheeler, Jr., as well as his grandparents, James C. Wheeler, Sr. and Ann Wheeler. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Veronica; his daughters, Mariah Marlowe and Randi Marlowe; his aunts, Frances MacDonald, Joann Compton, and Kiyo. He is also survived by his siblings: Sandra Cantu (Edward), Suzi Uehara (Tomatsu), and Johnny Wheeler (Junko); his brothers-in-law, Sean Holy, Sr. (Samantha) and Kevin Holy (Sheri); and several nieces and nephews: Sean Jr., Mackenzie, Conner, Ethan, Riley, Nicholas, Kalea, Kai, Ki-Zenn, and Aolani. Obituary: Stella J. Wheeler, 89, passed away peacefully with family on Feb. 23, 2017, at Methodist Medical . She was born on Aug. 27, 1927, in Gainesboro, Tenn., to Ida Spurlock and Clay Jones, who preceded her in death. Her beloved husband, Marion Wheeler, also preceded her in death. She was a Clinton, Tenn., resident, and a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. She worked for many years at the Agricultural Extension Office in the Anderson Courthouse. She was active in several organizations, including serving on many boards for the Anderson Fair, and vice-president of Clinton ttes Demonstration Club. She loved gardening, was an accomplished seamstress, and cook. She cherished her time spent with grandchildren, family and friends and especially time with her two great-grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Jane Kinser and husband Hugh of Oak Ridge, son, Tom Wheeler and wife Ann of Clinton; grandchildren, Kathleen and husband Joe Atkins, Ann Marie and husband Matt Rowley, Katherine and Carolyn Wheeler; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and extended family. The family will receive friends on , Feb. 26, at 5 PM with funeral service at 7 PM in the chapel of Holly Gamble in Clinton, Tenn., with Rev. Mahan Archer and Rev. Donna Hester officiating. Burial will be on , Feb. 27, at 11 AM at Grandview Memorial in Clinton. |
