Obituary: Ware, Nancy Alice McCall, age 78, died 16, 2015 after a long struggle with Alzheimers. Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Young High School and a 1959 graduate with a B.S. from the of Economics at the University of Tennessee. She worked for over a year as a Service Representative for the Appalachian Power , Abingdon, Virginia, until the birth of her daughter Lynn. She was a schoolteacher for 32 years, 29 of which was a resource teacher, at Beaumont Elementary, Knoxville. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Knoxville, a choir member for 35 years, and was also an active member of the Pilgrimage School Class. As a former member of the Knoxville Track Club, she won many awards and trophies in her age group in various road races. Upon retirement, she participated in activities with the United Methodist Women and the Martha Washington Garden Club. As a former member of the Knoxville Ski Club, she traveled to many places on ski trips and attended other functions. Nancy also traveled with her husband to many places in the United States and abroad. She was preceded in death by parents Raymond Sheddan and Mamie Woody McCall. She is survived by her husband of over 56 years, Howard R. Ware, Jr.; daughter, Dr. Lynn Ware Driver of Brentwood; twin grandsons, Zachary and Jake Driver and granddaughter, Ally Driver of Brentwood; brother and sisters-in-law, Walter and Andy Ware of Mount Juliet; Pasty Ware of Oak Ridge; Sandy Ware Nuchols of Clinton; Rebecca Ware Brown of Nashville; cousins, James and Barbara Woody and Polly Woody of Knoxville. Special thanks to the caregivers at NHC Fort Sanders. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chancel Choir Fund or to UMCOR through First United Methodist Church, 3316 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Obituary: Mary Irene Ware, 70, passed away on , 10, 2015. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and was a retired hairdresser. Her heart was broken when the love of her life, Waverly, went home to be with our Lord last . She suffered with heart problems for the past 30 years. Even though she had a weak heart, it was large and full of love. She loved everyone and would do anything for anyone. Her cooking was the best but music was what she loved more than anything. She will be sorely missed by all whose life she touched. Mrs. Ware leaves three children, Mike Ware of Eads, Debra Stevens of Cordova and Brandy Crouch of Potts Camp; two sisters, Wanda Mouser of AR and Francis Jamerson of Potts Camp; three brothers, Thomas Earl Bonner of LA, Otis Bonner of TN and Wayne Bonner of SC; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren with her eighth on his way. Obituary: Margaret Ogletree Ware, age 75, went to be with the Lord 25, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Margaret was born 5, 1938 in Macon, Mississippi to Fred and Imogene Ogletree. She was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women and began teaching elementary school in Jackson, Mississippi in 1959. On 7, 1960, she married William (Bill) Thomas Ware, Jr., and they lived in Yazoo City, Mississippi for almost ten years. a move to Memphis, Tennessee in 1970, Margaret was employed with Memphis City Schools for 31 years. She was a teacher and later an administrator before retiring as Principal of Grahamwood Elementary in 2001. She was well-respected for her intelligence, integrity, and quiet strength. Margaret was an active member of Second Baptist Church for 44 years, where she was a gracious leader, a cherished friend, and a wonderful model of faith. She was involved in her community as a womens Bible study leader, a member of Kirby Woods Garden Club, and a smocking group seamstress, creating infant burial gowns for donation to Memphis families. Margaret was also a voracious reader who participated in a book club with several close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Austin Ogletree, her mother, Imogene Germany Ogletree, and her infant daughter, Kathryn Ann Ware ( 24, 1963). She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Thomas Ware, Jr., her brothers Gene Ogletree and Joseph Ogletree, her son, William Thomas (Tom) Ware, III (Karen), her daughter, Julie Ware Dorian, and her granddaughters, Kate Ware (6), Emily Dorian (5), and Sophie Ware (2). Memorials may be sent to Second Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee or to an organization of the donors choosing. Services will be held at Second Baptist Church at 4680 Walnut Grove Road in Memphis, Tennessee on 30, 2014. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., graveside services will follow at Memphis and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road. |
