Obituary: Aggie was born in Dolton, South Dakota, 21, 1921. Her parents, John B. and Ida Wiebe both immigrated separately from Germany and met in the United States. There were about 9 children in the family. Aggie was the second to youngest. She married Joseph Withrow in May 22, 1939; She met Joe through his dad, playing music together. She played the guitar. Joe and Aggie owned numerous restaurants through the years until settling down in Gladstone Oregon. When Joe died in 1973, Aggie sold the restaurant and eventually got a job at OECO Corporation in Portland. She worked making transformers for the aerospace industry. She retired in 1987. She traveled to Hawaii, Maryland, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Memphis, California Disneyland. She was living in Alaska when it became a state and in Seattle when there was a bad earthquake. She had 93 years of life that was full of many historic events. She could tell you what date it happened and what she was doing at that moment. She loved Elvis Presley, Country and Western (old style) and Don Ho. Aggie spent hours crocheting afghans and hats and gave afghans to many of her adult friends and most of the newborns she knew. She donated winter hats to the homeless. Aggie made friends easily young and old. When you became her friend, she was your friend for life! Her family included her daughter Barbara (Carl) Dunn, Arco Id, Granddaughter Jody(Jim) Pettit, Priest Lake ID, Great Grandson Andrew Pettit, Spokane Valley ,Wa, Great Granddaughter Rachel Pettit, Priest Lake ID. Aggie also had a large extended non-traditional family who she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Ida Wiebe. Many of her siblings, Her husband Joseph Withrow, and her daughter Barbara Dunn She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. |
