Obituary: Born at home on Mathieson Place in Portland, Oregon, on 20,1922, to Lawrence and Edith Miller, Lenore was the second oldest in a family of four girls. Her family moved to Tigard in 1927, growing up in the family home off Greenburg road. She attended grade school at St. Anthonys, graduating in 1936, along with her future husband, Paul Warner. While her parents were away on a working trip in Alaska, Lenore and her older sister, Dorothy, experimented with driving their dads tractor around the 5 acres, and then taking the family car down the driveway, out through the double gates, turning around on 95th, and returning safely through the gates. Staying close to home, Lenore graduated from Tigard High School in 1940, where she played the clarinet in the school band. Her acquired skills at the business school gave her many opportunities, working at US Bank Tigard, and Charles F. Berg and Meier and Frank department stores. She married Paul on 1, 1944, at St. Anthonys Catholic Church. purchasing land on Southwest 72nd Avenue, together with the help of several family members, they built their first home, a two bedroom one bath, and resided there until 1979, when they moved to Summerfield Retirement Community. Their only child, Nancy, was born and raised in Tigard. Lenore and Paul traveled to California several times a year to visit their daughter, son-in-law Ivar, and two grandsons, Ian and Bjorn. In 1982, joining a group of friends, they spent a vacation in Australia and New Zealand, visiting some of Pauls Navy assignment locations during WWII. owning and operating an industrial mill supply company for 38 years, Paul and Lenore retired and participated in many functions in Summerfield, volunteering their time with the Lions Club, and joining friends for social activities at the Elks Lodge. In , 2015, Hazel May Anderson was born to Bjorn and Erika, bringing the four-generation tradition to the Warner and Miller families. Lenore was delighted to see the smiling face of her great-granddaughter on several occasions over the past few months. Following a brief illness, Lenore died on May 2, 2016. She is predeceased by Paul, who died in 2009, after 64 years of marriage. May they both rest in peace.. Lenore Miller Warner, a longtime resident of Tigard, died on May 2, 2016. Obituary: LeMoyne William Warner was born near Deer Park, St. Croix , Wisconsin on a dairy farm on 4, 1922 to William Rudolph Warner and Clara Margaret (Thomsen) Warner. At a young age, LeMoyne and his family moved west for a short while to Fresno, California. then moved to Portland, Oregon where he attended the first grade at Glenhaven School in N.E. Portland. The family moved back to the dairy farm in Wisconsin and he attended the second through fourth grades at Deer Park State Grade School. He went fifth through eighth grades at Grandview, a one room school in the township of Stanton. He graduated from Amery High School, Amery, Wisconsin in 1941. high school he took a correspondence class in practical radio from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin in 1942. From 1941 to 1950 he worked on his dad's dairy farm fixing radios on the side. In 1950 he once again moved to Portland with his parents. His sister, Elvera and her husband Lester Anderson and son Arlyn followed them out to Oregon shortly after. He worked one year for Doernbecher Furniture in Portland. On May 14, 1951 he started working for Tektronix, Inc. at the Washington facility on Barnes Road (by St. Vincent Hospital). He retired from Tektronix 29, 1983 after almost 32 years. LeMoyne was very active in the Lutheran church and met his future wife, Eleanor Lillian Elssner at a singles group at Our Savior Lutheran Church in N.E. Portland. married on 16, 1957 and were married 43 years until Eleanor's death in 2000. moved to Beaverton, Oregon in 1957 and adopted two daughters, Sharon Faith ( 22, 1960) and Janice Joy ( 15, 1962). The family lived in Beaverton until 1968 when they moved out to the "country land" of Aloha, Oregon where LeMoyne remained until selling his house in , 2010 and moving in with his daughter Janice, her husband, Brian and family. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Travis William Gallien (Nicole), Falisha Nicole Pursinger, Miranda Leigh Berry (Scott) and Larissa Renae Asmus. He had a special relationship with each of his grandchildren and was a wonderful grandpa who loved them dearly. He babysat them, took them to school, and sometimes School for years. He was also blessed with five great-granddaughters, Eleanor Jane Pursinger, Lillian Grace Berry, Emilia Elizabeth Berry, Analeise Noelle Asmus, and Lucy Nicole Gallien. When Eleanor became sick with multiple sclerosis in the late 1980s, he became her caregiver until a stroke in 2000 left him wheelchair bound. He liked to stay busy and worked in his yard and around the house until he was physically unable to do so. When he moved from his house in 2010 he really missed his blueberry bushes which he had moved from Beaverton to Aloha in 1968. He also enjoyed helping people out and when Eleanor's parents started aging, he drove them to doctor's appointments, and helped them however he could. He loved going to the mountains. He would tolerate the beach but only because the rest of the family enjoyed it. LeMoyne was a lifelong devout Christian. He lived to serve the Lord. So important was this to him that he left instructions to add his spiritual life to any tribute or memorial: He was also predeceased by his parents, and sister Elvera Anderson. LeMoyne was called home to be with the Lord and those who went before him on 6, 2016. LeMoyne deeply loved his family and he was deeply loved in return. He will be missed immensely. Obituary: LaVonne Monica Warner, a Bend resident, passed away on 1, 2014 at Partners-In- Hospice House of Bend. She was 94 years old. She was born on 6, 1919 in Randolph, Nebraska to and Sadie Wintz. graduating from high school, she taught school in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Nebraska, kindergarten through eighth grade. She married Ferris W. Jack Warner in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on 8, 1941. Jacks discharge from the Army, they resided in Wayne, Nebraska, where all four of their daughters were born. moved to the Cedar Hills area in southwest Portland in 1957. LaVonne was a fabulous homemaker and loving mother. She loved to dance. She made the best fried chicken in the world. She was an artist and did exquisite pastel paintings and also enjoyed china painting. She also liked refinishing antique furniture. She assisted with Jacks business in the apparel industry and loved modeling and always looking her best. She was well known in the Beaverton area for having semi-annual sample dress sales. Jacks passing in 1980, LaVonne and her youngest daughter Jacqui continued the family business for a few years and traveled throughout the Pacific Northwest, with LaVonne at the wheel of a 28 Cabana motorhome. her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and going to Reno and Las Vegas with her companion. She loved Kauai and visited there numerous times where her daughter Suzanne lived. In 2009, LaVonne moved to the Tumalo area of Bend with her daughter Jacqui and son-in-law Randy. She enjoyed spending time on the computer, checking her Facebook page, bird watching, and going on drives. Although she had numerous health problems, she rarely complained and always had a positive attitude and a beautiful smile. She is survived by daughters Barbara Thomas of Bend, Oregon; Suzanne M.M. Warner of Phoenix, Oregon; Jane (Randy) Miller of Terrebonne, Oregon; and Jacquelyn (Randy) Robinson of Bend, Oregon. She leaves 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, F.W. Jack Warner in 1980, her parents, her sisters Bernadette Huwaldt and Dorothy Wattier; brother Herbert Bud Wintz; and grandson Tyrel Miller, and great-great granddaughter SaRenaty Elizabeth Bristow. There will be an inurnment service at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland later this Spring.
