Obituary: Roger Wilbur, age 59, of Hamden, passed away , 1, 2016 at the Holzer Medical in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born 11, 1957 in Jackson, Ohio to the late John D. Wilbur and Shirley A. Leach Wilbur. Roger was a 1976 graduate of Vinton High School and a graduate of Ft. Campbell in Kentucky. He was a veteran of the United States Army and he retired from the Village of Hamden. Roger enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and listening to the Bee Gees. He is survived by his wife, Janet Pierce Wilbur; children, Heather Wilbur Hill (husband, Patrick), Ashley Wilbur, Kimberly Wilbur, Ryan Wilbur, Michael Wilbur, Shirley Wilbur and Jennifer Wilbur, all of Hamden; grandchildren, Lacey and Wyatt Hill; siblings, Ronald Wilbur (Doris) of Hamden, Margie Bayes (Butch) of Wellston, John Wilbur (Phila) of Jackson and Martha Wilbur of Wellston, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by children, Bradley Wilbur and Jessica Wilbur; and brothers, Ralph Wilbur and Larry Wilbur. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams in Wellston. service will be at 1 P.M. at the McWilliams with Pastor David McKnight officiating.
