Obituary: Shirley L. Weisend left the bonds of this earth to claim her place in glory on 4, 2017. She was born 24, 1930, in Akron, Ohio. Shirley was a loving wife to Donald Dan Weisend, Sr., whom she married 10, 1948. She was also a wonderful mother to Donald Jr., Dennis (Donna), Gary, and Cynthia, as well as the many others who called her Mom, including Andi Frescura who lovingly assisted in her care. She adored her four grandchildren: Myanna (Rodney) Komaromi, Leah Weisend, Gordon Weisend, and Cherarae Weisend, and her five great-grandchildren: Bryan, Brady, Ryder, and Mycah Komaromi, and Kaeleigh Krepp. Shirley was preceded in death by her son Gordon and several grand and great-grandchildren. She will truly be in Heaven when they are reunited. Her reputation as an awesome cook was well-known among family and friends. She loved Bassett hounds and even bred them at one point. Dan and Shirley spent hours playing hotly contested bouts of cribbage and Casino, as many card games were popular with the family. Her love of people was apparent to all and reflected in her career choice as a nurse until injury forced her to leave the profession. She continued to work side-by-side with her husband for 38 years at Tri-Lakes Marine which they opened in 1970. Friends and family will be received , 9, 2017, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski , 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Chaplain Matt Doerle on at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Cross in Akron at 1:00 PM on . Obituary: Virginia Ray Weisenberger, 96, of Lima, Ohio, died at 6:45 p.m., , 21, 2015, in Shawnee Manor, Lima. She was born Nov. 22, 1918, in Rural Cullman, AL to Lemuel C. and Vianna (Handley) Methvin, who preceded her in death. She married Robert W. Moore and they later divorced. She then married James R. Weisenberger who preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Roger Moore. Surviving are: her daughter-in-law, Colleen Moore of Parsons, KS; grandchildren, Dr. Robert M. Moore of New York, NY, Margo Rae Moore of Parsons; and a great-grandson, Max M. McKinley of Parsons. Virginia had resided at Shawnee Manor for many years. She was a member of Cable Road Alliance Church, Lima, for many years. Graveside services will be at the Point Methodist , point, TN.
