Obituary: Stanley Willis, 67, a former resident of High Point, passed away , 01, 2014 at his residence. Stan was born in Morganton, 20, 1947, the son of the late Loreggie Beavers. He was a retired truck driver with Harris Teeter. Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Helen McDaniel Willis, a grandson, Cody Thomas and a brother, Allen Willis. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. Stan loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Lisa McLaughlin (Timmy), Karen Zachary (Todd); two sons, Bobby Childress (Dawn) and Stanley Willis, Jr.; twelve grandchildren, Amber, Buddy, Ashley, Kara, Zach, Kirstin, Brianna, Dylan, Bailey, C.J., Austin and Kenyon; eight great-grandchildren, Kayla, Camryn, Luke, Brayden, Tyler, Zane, Daxton and Raelynn. A Celebration of Stan’s Life will be held at 7 p.m. in the Davis s & Cremations Chapel in High Point by his grandson, Pastor Zach Childress. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. |
