Obituary: Lloyd Jackson Williams Jr., 68, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on 1, 2015. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from Southeastern Freight Lines after 28 years of service. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to fish and to watch the Panthers. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janice Williams; sons, David Bowen and Lloyd Jackson Williams III (Stephanie); daughter Jennifer Williams Rodriquez (Michael); grandchildren Charlie, Michael, Austin, Makena, and Jaclyn. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on , 4, 2015, in Sunset Memory Gardens. A reception will follow at the Steeple Chase Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Alzheimers Association. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice and Palliative . Obituary: LINDA BRANTLEY WILLIAMS Linda Brantley Williams, 67, of Elm City died , 15, 2015 in her home following an extended illness. Linda, a loving wife and mother, was a beautiful role model for unconditional love, kindness, and selflessness. Her sweet spirit and quiet strength were evidence of a life dedicated to Christ. Born in Nash , NC, she and her siblings grew up close to Bailey, NC in a farming family. In of 1965 she married Ronnie “Jack” Williams, and they began their life together in Wilson . working for several years putting finishing details on products in a blouse factory, she turned her attention to her passion of teaching small children in a Wilson child care setting. She also cared for children in her home. rheumatoid arthritis made it impossible to pursue her more active hobbies of gardening and cooking, she devoted much of her time to making phone calls offering encouragement and prayer for others in a growing network of friends and loved ones. Besides her husband “Jack”, she is survived by her daughter, Ruby Tyner and her husband Gerald Tyner Jr. of Elm City; her son, Ronnie Jackson Williams Jr and his wife Sarah Carver Williams of Grimesland; her grandchildren, Brantley West Williams, Maggie Elizabeth Williams, Jordan Landis Tyner and Brandon Clay Tyner; her sisters, Margie Morgan Mercer, Barbara Brantley Hawkins, Betty Brantley Oakey and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Brantley and Ruby Williams Brantley, her sister, Jean Brantley Pearson and brothers, Franklin Eugene “Bobby” Brantley, Willie Mack Brantley, Johnny Larry Brantley, and Jimmy Calvin Brantley. Her life will be celebrated during a memorial service at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas-Yelverton at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2704 Nash St., in Wilson. Obituary: Linda Jean Baucom Williams of Charlotte was born 26, 1947. She was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School and American Business and Fashion. At age 12, she gave her life to Christ and enjoyed working with youth and singing in the choir. She was employed by James B. Johnson, DDS early in life. Upon the arrival of her firstborn in 1970 she became a homemaker with a love of cooking , sewing, ceramics, and cake decorating. Her most treasured role was that of being a mother. Cancer took her body on 30, 2012, but Jesus took her soul. She wanted the world to know her death was not the result of unanswered prayers but the plan of her loving Father. Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents, William Horace and Beulah Baucom, Plato and Donna Hull and the father of her children, Wayne Williams. She is survived by her parents, Howard and Eugenia Baucom, brothers, Bill and Bobby. Three children, Wes, Brad, and Carla, grandchildren, Wayne, Lindsey, Michael, Chris, Wesley, Josh and Leah. The family would like to add special thanks to Dr. John Barkley and his wife who helped her to know quality not quantity and to her special friend, Ed Grant.
