Obituary: Carolyn Thompson Williams, 66, of Wilmington, NC went to celebrate and be with the Lord in Heaven on , 17, 2015. She was born on , 17, 1949 in Wilmington, NC to the late Charles Henry Thompson and Margurite Odessa Thompson. Carolyn was part of the first graduating class at UNCW to receive her Masters degree in Education. She enjoyed teaching for 30 years in the Brunswick School System, most spent at Leland Middle School. She was a long time active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a Childrens Church teacher and a member of the Young at Heart Club (YAHs). She was a proud member of the Cape Fear Jewels Red Hat Society, SEANC, NC Retired School Personnel, where she acted as Recording Secretary, NC Sorosis Womens club and NCAE . She also enjoyed doing numerous volunteer/charity work such as Angel Tree and providing meals for Hospice. Carolyn also loved her friends and in the last few years created groups to reunite past friendships. She was a magnetic social butterfly creating gatherings for the Lake Forest Girls and Leland Middle School Retired Teachers. Carolyn is survived by her four blessed children, Charles A. Williams, Jr and wife Lynda, Melanie Huckaby and her husband Monroe, Jason Brent Williams and Rebekah Carolynn Williams; her loving and very fortunate grandchildren, Margurite Huckaby, Monroe Huckaby, Charlie Williams and Haylie Williams and also survived by her four legged companion, Dynamite. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on , 21, 2015 at Coble Ward-Smith Service. Service will be held at 1pm on , 22, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church, 423 N 23rd Street, Wilmington, NC 28405 with Reverend Donnie Lovette officiating. Obituary: Mrs. Carolyn McFalls Williams, 73, of Valdese, went to her heavenly home on 23, 2014 at Duke Medical , after a courageous battle with cancer. Carolyn was born 18, 1941 in Yancey , a daughter of the late Edward Milton and Inez Gryder McFalls. She was a faithful and active member of Christ United Methodist Church, and supporter of the Valdese Lions Club. She retired as food service supervisor with the Burke School System, serving at Heritage Middle School for a number of years. When Carpenters for Christ came to Valdese to construct Cornerstone Baptist Church in 2000, they had their meals at Heritage and she earned the nick name of Sarge for her diligence in keeping the kitchen in order. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Surviving are her husband, Jerry A. Williams of the home, a son Richard Williams and wife Alison of USMC Kittens, Maine, two daughters, Debora Lynn Anderson and husband Forrest of Morganton, and Amanda Robertson and husband Jay of Hickory, two brothers, Don McFalls of Jacksonville, FL and Charles Lee McFalls of Asheville. Also surviving are the loves of her live, Sierra Anderson and Emily Williams her grandchildren. Services for Carolyn Williams will be held at 1:00 P.M. 27, 2014 at Christ United Methodist Church, with Rev. Amy Freeze and Rev. Gibbons officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 P.M. 26, 2014 at Heritage Service, Valdese. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Valdese Lions Club.
