Obituary: The family of Navy Petty Officer First Class William Matthew Weinrich are heartbroken to announce his passing. William was born Feb 17, 1987 in nearby Burke , and spent much of his early life in Catawba . Upon graduating from Alexander Central high school where he was part of the NJROTC program, William joined the Navy and served for more than 12 years in varying positions as an Electronic Technician around the world. William was an avid and talented photographer whose pictures included various subject matters and locations. He was a mentor to others interested in photography. William was also an accomplished motorcycle rider, and has crossed the United States several times on various motorcycles. William is survived by his Mother, Suzette Johnson; his Father Bain Weinrich, and his Brother Ahren Weinrich. Services will be held 15, 2017 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 2613 Wesley Chapel Road, Newton NC, 28658. The family will receive friends and guests beginning at 2:00 PM at the church. Obituary: Sidney Weiner, 92, of New Bern, passed away on , 15, 2015. Sid is preceded in death by his longtime companion Mary McDaniel. He is survived by his two daughters; Janice Robbins of Stafford, VA and Denise Hight of Charleston, WV, his granddaughter Christine Campbell, and 2 great-grandsons; Christopher Robbins, and Garrett Campbell. Sid had so many accomplishments in his life and enjoyed so many pastimes. He was a longtime member of 14 years of the Board of Directors where he served as Secretary, a member of the No. 7 Township Volunteer Fire Department, D.A.V. Treasurer, part of the Advisory Council of Local Government for Federal Credit Union, and Treasurer of Eastern NC Chapter of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors Inc. Obituary: Francis (Frank) Weiner passed away on , Oct. 28. 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born in Philadelphia, 3, 1937. His mother Florence was a nurse with an extensive and colorful family who factored greatly in his childhood. Although he was not cut out for school, his charisma and character led to a successful career in sales with companies including BVD and Judy Bond Blouses. He married Rochelle (Shelly) Weiner in 1958. Having met her in high school where they often sat near each other as a result of sharing the same last name. first lived in New Jersey, but with his sales territory in the southeast, they eventually moved south living briefly in Nashville and Atlanta before settling in Greensboro in 1972. Frank parlayed his successful sales career into a myriad of enterprises including Western Sizzlin Restaurants in Roanoke, Virginia, extensive commercial real estate holdings in Greensboro, and the popular Frickadills restaurant in Friendly Shopping . In the early 1990s he founded Future Sales & Liquidations, a Greensboro based wholesale distributor, manufacturing representative and liquidator. With a showroom in Hong Kong the company provided a variety of merchandise to discount retailers including Family Dollar Stores. Frank had a unique and engaging personality whose presence filled whatever room he was in. He could charm anyone with his positive zest for life. He was an avid golfer and loved gambling at blackjack and world travel, especially travels that took him to a beautiful beach. He was unusually devoted to all members of his family and to his friends, providing all types of support whenever anyone was in need. Frank was a fixture in the Greensboro Jewish community with an enormous circle of friends of all ages. His caring and sincerity extended to charitable endeavors as well, providing financial support to a wide variety of agencies both locally and abroad. Franks greatest joy came from his family. Frank is survived by wife Shelly, brother David, daughter Donna Freedman and husband Joel Freedman of Atlanta; daughter Debbie Cohen and husband Jeff Cohen of Atlanta; daughter Julie Weiner of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; grandchildren Paula Freedman, Dara Freedman, Adam Freedman, Charlie Cohen and Michelle Cohen. Services will be at 1:00 on at Beth David Synagogue with Rabbi Eliezer Havivi officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebrew .
