Obituary: Mrs. Rhonda Sue Williamson, 48 of Steele, died , 9, 2015 at St. Francis Medical in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Born in Morgan City, Louisiana, Rhonda lived in the Steele-Cooter area for most of her life. Mrs. Williamson was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She loved ice cream, late night trips to Taco Bell, and riding around and looking for deer. She also loved tickle time with her grandson. She leaves behind her mother, Mary Duncan (Steve) of Carlisle, Arkansas; father Kirby Cole of Lonoke, Arkansas; her husband, Ricky Williamson of Steele; three daughters, Ashley Morris of Hayti, Missouri, Marissa Williamson and Hannah Williamson of Steele, Missouri; one son, James Walker of Hazen, Arkansas; step-son, Ricky Williamson, Jr. of Gosnell; two step-daughters, Tasha Trapp (Josh) and Heather Williamson; three brothers, Paul Cole (Christina) of Lonoke, Arkansas, Jason Cole (Melinda) of Carlisle, Arkansas, and Brandon Cole (Kristy) of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Misty Swaim (Chad) of Hazen, Arkansas, and Tammy Smith of Carlisle, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, along with three step-grandchildren. services will be held , 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb Chapel with Rev. Obituary: Ralph Alan Bud Williamson, 72, of Kansas City, MO, passed away unexpectedly , 3rd, 2011. Bud was born 10th, 1939 in Ft. Wayne, IN. He attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln where he remained a loyal and devoted Huskers fan. Bud was a PGA member for 46 years (1965-2011), the 3rd Head Golf Professional at Blue Hills CC (1976-2001). He served on the Midwest Section PGA Committee and Board, and served as the Midwest Section PGA President in 1983. Bud was on the National PGA Board of Directors and PGA District 7 Director. He was also a U.S. Senior Open Tournament Player. Bud helped create Clubs for Kids with Tom Watson and officiated the Childrens Mercy Hospital Classic for 18 years at Blue Hills CC. In 2011 Bud was honored as an inductee to both the Nebraska Hall of Fame and the Midwest Section PGA Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by Ralph Alan Williamson, Sr. (father), Cecilia Appleman Williamson (mother), Phyllis Williamson Scallion (sister), Thomas Williamson (brother), and son-in-law Jason Brown. He is survived by his wife Susan Williamson, two daughters Lisa Ives and Lynn Brown, and two grandchildren Owen Ives and Marli Brown. Also surviving is his brother Mike Williamson, several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131 on , 12 from 9:30-11:00am., followed by a Memorial Mass from 11am-12pm. A Celebration of his life will be held immediately following at Blue Hills Country Club CC, 777 W. Burning Tree Dr., Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to: The First Tee of Greater Kansas City, 7501 Blue River Rd, Kansas City, MO 64132. The First Tee is a youth development organization, teaching young people positive values such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and confidence while using the game of golf as a tool. Bud was blessed with a gift that allowed him to live his passion of golf throughout his life. He was a mentor to many and young players learned the skill and etiquette of the game from him. He was also the grand Head Professional guiding many along in their career path. retirement he enjoyed his membership and friendships at Wolf Creek Golf Club. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband. He was truly a mans best friend always eager to enjoy the round, the hunt and a good game of cards. He left us with endless Bud-isms and tales to be shared for years to come. Thank you Bud..a friend and gentleman who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. |

Obituary: Patricia Lucille (Ruth) Williamson died 13, 2015 at Riverdell . services will be on , 16, 2015 at 12:00 pm at the Missouri United Methodist Church Chapel, 201 S Ninth St, Columbia, with visitation one hour prior to service. Pat was born on 14, 1929 in Detroit (Grosse Point) Michigan. She was the only child of Russell E. and Lucille C. (Lagerman) Ruth. She married Dr. Donald G. Williamson on 16, 1950. Pat and Don lived 30+ years in Columbia where Don was a professor at the University of Missouri and Pat worked as a Registered Nurse for the University of Missouri Medical and later for the American Red Cross. Pat was an active volunteer throughout her life. She was the first Director of the Voluntary Action and was instrumental in the creation of The Wardrobe, Columbia Meals on Wheels, and the Boone Retirement ; serving on their steering committees for many years. Pat and Don were members of Missouri United Methodist Church. Pat was a member of the Missouri United Methodist Circle and served one term as Vice-President of the Missouri Conference of United Methodist Women. She was also a long term member and leader of the Columbia chapter of the League of Women Voters, and Girl Scouts (she was very active in Girl Scouts as a child and young woman and was a Girl Scout Camp Counselor for many years). Pat was an avid swimmer and continued swimming for exercise long into her life. Late in life, she was an active member of the KA chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO). Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Ernest Ruth and Lucille Cora Lagerman Ruth, and her husband of 59 years, Dr. Donald Gray Williamson. Surviving are her two sons, Bruce G. Williamson (Carole) and Scott R. Williamson; 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Missouri United Methodist Church, The American Red Cross, or The America Heart Association. |
