Obituary: William S. Bill Williams, age 91, a resident of Brighton Ridge in Eureka Springs passed away on 8, 2011. He was born 27, 1919 in Denver, CO to John Montague and Phoebe Speer Williams. There were two brothers, Alfred and Clifford Buster Williams. Bill attended Fort Smith Public Schools and was traffic manager of Mercury Motors Inc. in Fort Smith when inducted into the United States Army for service during World War II. He returned from the Army to serve as secretary-treasurer of Mercury Motors until the freight line sold in 1994; he retired at that time. He has been a member of St. Johns and St. Bartholomew Episcopal Churches in Fort Smith and St. James Episcopal Church in Eureka Springs. As a young man, he served as treasure of St. Johns for 23 years. William has four surviving nieces and nephews, Alfred Williams Jr. of Little Rock, Phoebe Kutait of Little Rock, Jim Williams of Holiday Island, and Marcia Crumpton of Homosassa, Florida. A graveside service with burial of cremains will be 1:30 P.M. , 12, 2011, at Forest Park cemetery with The Reverend Jeff Champlin officiating. There will be no visitation. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards . He was the owner/operator of Wendells Used Tires. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Williams. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Williams of the home; four daughters, Dorothy Garcia and husband Travis of Alma, Valarie Brennan of Fort Smith, Sandra Williams of Van Buren, and Michelle Sorrells and husband Scott of Alma; two sons, Doug Hicks of Fort Smith, and Lil Randy Williams of Van Buren; granddaughter/daughter Ladybug (Katrina Webster) and husband Garth of Van Buren; two sisters, Linda Freeman and husband Robert of Alma, and Brenda Childers of Van Buren; six brothers, Larry Williams and wife Clara of Alma, Glenn Williams and wife Elaine of Cedarville, Ronnie Williams and wife Kathy of Van Buren, Darrel Williams and wife Kay of Cedarville, Big Randy Williams of Van Buren, and Big Danny Williams of Van Buren; thirteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren; several in-laws, and nieces and nephews, and too many friends to count. service is 2:00 p.m. , 5, 2014 at The Current Church in Van Buren with interment to follow at New in Mulberry, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma of Van Buren, AR.
