Obituary: Beatrice 'Babe' H. Wilcox, 101; died on , 15, 2016 at the Medical of South Arkansas. Babe was born on 12, 1914 in Camden, AR; she was the daughter of Lawrence French Henshaw and Susie Moore Henshaw. Babe retired from BP AMOCO after 30 years. She was the first female to work in warehouse as secretary. She was a Charter member of The El Dorado Desk and Derrick Club and was made an honorary member in 1995. Babe was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in El Dorado and of the Service Class and United Methodist Women. Babe was a 40 year member of RSVP. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Jesse W Henshaw and Lloyd Henshaw; her sisters Lennie Henshaw, Lucile Henshaw, Lora H Berlin and Ruth H Ragsdale; nieces Loraine Berlin and Phyllis Hill; and her husband George W. Wilcox. Survivors are a niece Barbara Warner of Little Rock and Palm City, FL; a great niece Holly Haynes of Little Rock, AR; great nephews Coty Haynes of Cabot, AR and Larson Haynes of Minneapolis, MN; three great nephews Chase (Rachael) Haynes and Conner Haynes all of Little Rock and Dillon Haynes of Minneapolis, MN; along with two special caregivers Karen Wilson and Jan Loftin who everyone thought was her granddaughter. The family will receive friends evening from 5 pm to 7 pm at Youngs Directors. Service with be at 2 pm, , 18, 2016 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. Memorials may be of the Donors choice or First United Methodist Church Building Fund. An online registry is available at www.youngsfuneralhome.com |
