Obituary: Betty Lou Witzke, age 99 years, passed away on , 5, 2016 at the Bay Medical Facility. She was born in Bay City on 1, 1917 to the late Newell and Estella (Woods) Smith. Betty was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 1010. She had been a school bus driver for the Bay City Public Schools and retired as the owner of the Green Hut in Bay City. On 23, 1955, she married Gearhardt G. Jerry Witzke and he preceded her in death on 5, 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Faye E. Witzke, grandchildren: Kimberly (Jeff) McCormick, Doug (Heidi) Witzke and Lisa (Jim) Zacharko, her great-grandchildren: Brandon (fiance, Alicia) McCormick, Ashley (Neil) Buzek, Emma Witzke, Abby Witzke, Jordin Zacharko and Tasia Zacharko, her great-great-grandchildren: Cole Buzek and Hunter Buzek, a brother, Newell Bill Smith and her sisters: Elsie Jacobs and Georgiana Diorka. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Paul Witzke and her son-in-law, Howard Witzke. and Committal Services will be on , 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Penzien-Steele . The Rev. Erwin M. Hutter will officiate. Private interment will be in Green Ridge . Visitation will be on , 11, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or The Ronald McDonald House. |
