Obituary: Leroy E. Wierman, age 89, of Alma, MI formerly of Ashley, MI passed away , 7, 2015 at Mid Michigan Medical -Gratiot, Alma, MI. Services will be held at Smith Family s, St. Louis, MI on , 13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Mona Dye officiating. Burial will take place at North Star , North Star, MI. Visitation will be held on , 12, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Leroy was born in Montcalm , MI on 1, 1925, the son of Harold and Myrtie (Chapman) Wierman. He married Lillian Webster on 13, 1977 in Ashley, MI; she preceded him in death. Leroy resided in the Central Michigan area all of his life. He retired from General Motors, was a US Army veteran, and was a member of the Ashley Lions Club for many years. Leroy was a member of Ashley United Methodist Church and was very active in his church all of his life. He also enjoyed working puzzles and loved taking pictures of his family. He is survived by his 2 daughters; Doris Clark of St. Louis, MI, Patty McFee of St. Louis, MI, stepson Doug Webster of Farmington Hills, MI, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 2 brothers; Martin Wierman of Dewitt, MI and Jay Wierman of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lillian, grandson Rex Wierman, 2 stepchildren; Charlotte deBlecourt and Robert Webster, brother Lawrence Wierman, and sister Ilah Bahr. Obituary: Warren Allen Wierenga, age 76, went home to be with his Lord on 18, 2014. He was born on 29, 1938 in Jenison, MI and resided in Hudsonville, MI. He was preceded in death by his sons Dirk and Dean, parents Gerrit and Ella (Hop) Wierenga, step-sister Shirley Schutter, brother-in-law Cliff Faber, and sisters-in-law Carolyn Doebler and Ruth Wierenga. He was survived by his wife, Elaine, of 56 years and step-mother, Harriet; his children, Doug (Denise), Dave; his daughters-in-law, Pam, Brenda Wierenga; grandchildren, Matt (Amy), Travis, Justin (Janelle), Ashley (Mike) Bruinsma, Dani (Ryan) Hibma, Alyssa, Heather, Lauren, and Holly Wierenga; great-grandchildren, Ava, Claire, Nora, Alison, Zach, Nate, Ben, Kendall, and Jake; siblings, Rog, Don (Arlene), Phyllis (Rog) DeVries, Jim (Marcia) Schutter, and Marge Faber; in-laws, Reet (Bill) Sterk, Larry (Judy) Fredricks, Bill and Sally Doebler, Sandy (Bob) Zweemer, and Barb Johnson; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Warren worked at Wolverine Building Group for 38 years and was a member of Hudsonville Reformed Church. He was a gifted craftsman who touched the lives of so many. He was a US Army Veteran. Visitation will be , 20, from 4 to 8 pm at Cook in Jenison, 1889 Baldwin St. and Celebration of Life Service, with Pastor Don VanSlyke officiating, will be held , 21, at 6:00 pm at Hudsonville Reformed Church at 3950 Highland Dr. Hudsonville MI 49426. Interment will be at Georgetown Township prior to the Service. Memorial contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to Van Andel Institute for Cancer Research or Hudsonville Reformed Church - Feed My Starving Children.
