Obituary: Vernon Edward Waire, 72, of Searcy passed away , 08, 2016 at White River Medical in Batesville. He was born 10, 1943 in Step Rock, Arkansas to the late Frank and Pauline (Evans) Waire. Vernon never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He had a wonderful sense of humor. Vernon loved to get up and go. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Vernon is survived by his wife, Connie (Smith) Waire of Searcy; two sons, Rick Waire and wife, Cristy of Pangburn and Jerry Lee Myers of Judsonia; three daughters, Ronda Waire of Searcy, Angie Ridings of Judsonia; Tonya Elliott and husband, Rick of Searcy; five sisters, Thelma Pate, Mona Brinkley, Carolyn Wortham, Norma Redman, and Thelda Sark. Twelve grandchildren, Blaine Waire, Nicole Lee, Trent Ruddell, Eric Parish, Shelby King, Tate Ruddell, Lynsey Long, Hunter Bostic, Kindall Myers, Traike Elliott, Lauren Ridings, and Jagger Myers. As well ten great grandchildren, Kaylie Waire, Wesley Waire, Kynley Ruddell, Carson Waire, Olivia Parish, Peyton Long, Zoey Lee, Kayton Ruddell, Liam Long, Callie King, and a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents Vernon was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwain and Junior Waire. Obituary: Ova Evelyn (Meharg) Waire, of Jonesboro, formerly of Providence, departed this life on 31, 2015. Ova was born 20, 1931 to John Dee and Martha Ollie Meharg in White . She lived in the Providence Community in White until moving to Jonesboro in 2006 to be near her daughter. Ova was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister and aunt to her nieces and nephews. She loved the young people in her community and her home was always open to them. As the wife of a minister, Ova spent countless hours working with others. She possessed a passion for helping, especially the young. She was known for her cooking and sewing skills and was a talented quilter. Her hospitality and kindness created a warm home environment and all were welcome, especially for dinners. She also loved to travel and she and her daughter took many trips to see other states. Ova had a deep love for her four sisters. She was a helpmate to her minister husband and her daughter was the light of her life. A strong Christian lady, Ova was a member of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church. She was very supportive of her husband and his work in each church he pastored. shard a commitment to the various churches where he served as pastor. Ova is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Jackson Waire; her parents, John Dee and Martha Ollie Meharg; two sisters, Lillie Meharg Seymore and Clara Meharg Altom. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Waire Hawkins Kelly (Darryl); two sisters, Nell Pruitt Farrar Doyle (Bob) and Emmie Pruitt Stewart; numerous nieces and nephews. services will be conducted on , 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Obituary: Freddie Darlene Wahman, 82, of Alma passed away , May 27, 2017. She was born on 23, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Raymond and Velta McKinney. She graduated from Mulberry High School. She was employed as a secretary at Fort Chaffee Hospital where she met her husband of 52 years, Dr. Gerald Wahman. Her interests were real estate investments, thoroughbred horses, the Razorbacks, the Airedales, and cooking. She enjoyed following all activities of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alma, and was preceded in death by her brother, Michael McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Gerald Wahman of the home; five children, Cindy Henderson of Friendswood, TX, Jeff Wahman and wife Leveta of Van Buren, Lisa Jensen and husband Greg of Alma, Paul Wahman and wife Stacy of Mulberry, and Roger Wahman and wife Amy of Cedar Park, TX; twelve grandchildren, Amy Vazquez and husband Ray, Shane McWater and wife Kristy, and Darci Chambers and husband Kyle, all of Friendswood, TX, Payton Wahman of Van Buren, Gunner Jensen and wife Britney of Oklahoma City, Gage, Garrison, and Gabriel Jensen, all of Alma, Katie, Nicholas, and Alayna Wahman, all of Cedar Park, TX, and eight great-grandchildren, Elena, Ray, and Ava Vazquez, Madelyn and Andrew McWater, and Jesse, Eli, and Katie Chambers, all of Friendswood, TX. service will be 10:00 a.m. , 1, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Alma with interment to follow at Evergreen , under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma of Van Buren.
