Obituary: Newman P. Wray, 71, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Alexandria, passed away on 24, 20ll surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Newman was a retired heavy equipment operator, a US Navy Veteran and a member of the Operator Local 406. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Edna Wray; daughter, Rhonda Wray-Simmons; three sons, Richard, Russell and Randall Wray; sister, Lucille Custis; brother, Le Roy Ray; and two grandchildren Ashlee and Haley. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Lillian Wray; and siblings Gary Gillette and Nellie Chatelain. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks home on 27, 2011 from 5p.m. till 9p.m. and on 28, 2011 10a.m. until religious service at 12p.m, conducted by Rev. Jack Nutter. Obituary: Malcolm Casmer “Dunn” Wortmann passed away on , 29, 2015 at the age of 91. He was the cherished husband of the late Evelyn Arieux Wortmann for 44 years. Loving father of Linda W. Doleac and Laura W. Bodden. Son of the late Arthur and Mary Antoinette Stelz Wortmann. Brother of the late Miriam Herbez, Elverna Gracianette, Arthur C. Wortmann, Alfred Wortmann, Harold Wortmann and Darrell Wortmann. Proud grandfather of Leesa DeNatale (Marc). Great grandfather of Evan DeNatale. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Malcolm was a United States Navy veteran and proudly served in the Battle of Leyte Gulf during World War II. He received medals for the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, Philippine Liberation and American Theater. Malcolm was honorably discharged as a Carpenter’s Mate Second Class (T). In 1970 he was Master of Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge No. 428, Arabi, LA and president of the Old Hickory Club. Malcolm has been a dedicated Mason for over 50 years in his local chapter and the New Orleans Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and enjoyed building remote controlled airplanes. Malcolm was also a member of the VFW Post 7194, Arabi, LA. He was an avid dancer at Jefferson Orleans and attributed this to keeping him young. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W.
