Born 20, 1929 to Samuel Otto Varnado and Irma Warren Varnado in Amite, LA. Preceded in death by husband Luther O. Wheat, parents Otto and Irma Varnado, granddaughter Kimberly Wheat, and 2 brothers Fred Varnado and Norman Varnado. Survived by four sons - Keith (Susan), Arthur (Debbie), Joe (Elaine), and Gary Wheat; six grandchildren, James Wheat, Cheri Wheat Edgens, Kelly Wheat Kinnebrew, Matthew Wheat, Steven Wheat, and Brandon Wheat; five great-grandchildren - Nichole Edgens, Haley Kinnebrew, Dylan Kinnebrew, Levi Kinnebrew, and Cason Wheat. Siblings Rosemary Varnado Yantis, Glen Varnado, and Gary Varnado; and her many, many cousins, cherished neighbors and friends, church family members, and beloved co-workers at W.F. Bealls Department Store. Ina was a member of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs for 57 years. She had the most kind, generous, loving spirit, she was gracious and gentle with everyone she met. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Obituary: Our brother and friend Roger Keith Whatley, age 48, went to be with the Lord at 2:06 p.m. on 15, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical in Baton Rouge. Born 16, 1966, he was a resident of Denham Springs. He lived in Orlando, FL before returning home in 2001. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, loved to paint, and enjoyed working with his hands. He was a hard worker and worked at C W Custom Cabinets in Walker, LA and loved working with all of his co-workers and friends. He is survived by his brother, Gary Whatley and wife Carrie Whatley, his brother, Ricky Whatley, and his sister, Dainta Whatley Hull and husband Erick Hull, six nieces, two nephews, and two great nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Dan Ellis Whatley and Gay Nell Kepper Whatley, and longtime companion Melinda Curtis. Visitation will be held at Seale , Denham Springs on , 19, 2015 beginning at 1:00pm. Memorial services will be held at 4:00pm.
