Obituary: Reverend Clarence Joseph Waguespack, a Roman Catholic Priest for the Diocese of Baton Rouge, a native of Vacherie, Louisiana and a resident of Pierre Part, Louisiana died in a cycling accident, , 8, 2014 at the age of 77. He is survived by his sisters, Janet W. Zeringue and Claire W. Amedee, sister and brother-in-law, Myrna W. Falgoust and Lester Falgoust, brother and sister-in-law, Raymond G. Waguespack and Mary Jean M. Waguespack, brother-in-law, Terry Folse, Godson, Philip G. Amedee; 18 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Annette Simon Waguespack, his sister, Annette Waguespack Folse and his brothers-in-law, Etienne A. Zeringue and Manuel J. Amedee.
Father Waguespack entered the seminary at age 14. He attended St. Joseph Seminary in Covington, Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans and the Gregorian University at the North American in Rome. He was ordained to the priesthood on 19, 1962 at the Church of Christo Re, Christ the King in Rome. He celebrated his first Mass at St. Philip Church in Vacherie, La.
Father Waguespack has been a parish priest serving the parishes of Holy Family in Port Allen, St. Charles Borromeo, and St. Joseph Cathedral in Baton Rouge. His first pastorate was at St. Joan of Arc in Bayou Pigeon and he was founding pastor of St. Marks Gonzales. He also served as temporary chaplain at Angola State Prison, temporary administrator of St. Francis of Assisi in Smoke Bend, pastor of Ascension of Our Lord in Donaldsonville, Our Lady of Peace in Vacherie, and St. Joseph the Worker in Pierre Part.
One of Fr. Waguespacks interests was the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. He was a past State Chaplain of the CDA. He was well known for his devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and leading many pilgrimages to Medjugorje. He was very involved with the Magnificat. He was an avid sports fan. He loved everything LSU, the Saints, fishing, bike riding, flying planes, and kayaking.
Fr. Waguespacks visitation will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part, Louisiana, , 12, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. \ 10:00 p.m. and will resume on , 13, 2014, 8:00 a.m. \ 11:15 a.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Philip Catholic Church mausoleum in Vacherie. by Ourso in Pierre Part.

A seminary scholarship in the name of Fr. Clarence J. Waguespack will be established with the Diocese of Baton Rouge Seminary Scholarship Fund. The Honorable Raymond “Ray” Waguespack, Constable for the 5th Justice Court of Jefferson Parish, passed away peacefully on 12, 2017 at the age of 56. Ray was the beloved husband of Jeanne Hoffmann Waguespack and loving father of Victoria Leigh Waguespack and Benjamin Gerard Waguespack. He is survived by siblings Laurie W. Hill (Jim), Jeffery T. Waguespack (Jackie), and Randall Waguespack. Also survived by a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ray was preceded in death by his father William J. Waguespack III, mother Frischhertz Waguespack and brother William J. Waguespack IV. Ray was a dedicated public servant, serving as Constable for the 5th Justice Court of Jefferson Parish since 2014, a two-term member of the Jefferson Parish Republican Executive Committee and was serving his first term as a member of the Republican State Central Committee. He was a business executive with the world’s largest global transportation and logistics company, UPS, for 24 years prior to retiring. He was a graduate of Loyola University and a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. From 1978-1991, Ray, aka RayMeaux, spent time as a DJ at WNOE AM and FM, WTIX, and WLTS. His care and concern for his fellow man extended beyond the political sphere, as evidenced by his role as an American Red Cross Logistic Action Team Coordinator, NOLA SHRM Board Member, Leadership Jefferson Alumni Member, former President of the New Orleans Air Cargo Association, former Board Member of Junior Achievement and a member of the Knights of Columbus 3411, PKG. Ray was also an active parishioner of St. Benilde Parish.

Fee, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was best known in her community through her longtime employment at Dannys Fried Chicken in Franklin. Some of her favorite pastimes were crocheting, tending to her plants, and the challenge of a good jigsaw puzzle. But what brought her the most joy was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Her love for friends and family was truly unconditional. She was loved by all and will be sadly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl W. Myrtle was a kind, sweet soul who faced physical challenges throughout her lifetime. She was born deaf and mute and lost her eyesight in her forties due to retinitis pigmentosa. She was a graduate of the Louisiana State School for the Deaf with a Vocational Education Certificate in 1948. She is survived by a brother, Godfrey Waguespack, Sr., four sisters, Gertrude Magill, Bobbie Keller, Genevieve (Vincent) Sotile and Jackie (Bryan) Guillot. Obituary: Kent Paul Waguespack passed away after a short illness at the age of 55. He was born in Thibodeaux, La to Esther Marie Tregre Waguespack Foret and the late Leon Lee B. Waguespack. He was the brother of LeeAnn Waguespack y. He is survived by his life partner Lisa Smith. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and numerous family members.
Kent was baptized at St. Philips Catholic Church in Vacherie, La. He then graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School, Charity School of as an RN and Tulane University with a Bachelors of Science in Database Administration(IT). Kent was a very hands on guy, he enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, and working on his house. He also had a passion for water skiing and being in and on the water. Kent was always compassionate to his dear cats and any stray cats that came around. Kent was a manager at Bennys Car Wash where they treated him like family. He was a loving and caring man who will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at St. Philips Catholic Church on , 25, 2014 from 9am till 11am. A Mass will be held at 11am. Inurnment will take place after the service at St. Philips Mausoleum. Condolences may be expressed at www.hcalexanderfh.com

Obituary: Judith Austen JuJu Waguespack, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away 3, 2012 at the age of 68. She was a graduate of Our Lady of The Lake School of and retired years later as a registered nurse. Judith was a member of the Down Syndrome Awareness Group, and she enjoyed going to the movies, reading, needlepoint, and spending time with her family. Judith was the greatest mother ever, dearly loved daughter and sister, and her true joy was spoiling her grandchildren. She will be truly missed by many. She is survived by her three sons, Richard Ric Waguespack Jr. and wife Beverly Hebert Waguespack, Toby Jude Waguespack and wife Kourtney Kelly Waguespack, and Zachary Rivers Waguespack; three sisters, Geralyn Penn, Susan Connelly, and Cynthia Mayeaux; one brother, Henry Austen; five grandchildren, Jennifer Gwyn Waguespack, Rori Jaryn, Jyllian Hollie, Jayden Kayde and Jensyn Lee; one great grandchild, Vic Knopp; and lifelong friend, Ellen Klingman Couvillion. Loving father of Lauren Dauterive (Raymond), Jeanne Licausi (Andrew) and Johnny Waguespack (Sharie). Son of the late Andrew and May Bourgeois Waguespack. Brother of Alice Babin (Felix), Mildred Rizzo (the late Arthur), Adeline Evans and the late Paul Waguespack. Proud grandfather of Heidi Rauber (Donald), Drew Licausi, Demi Dauterive and Brandon Choina (Tanya). Great grandfather of Donald Rauber III, Matthew Choina and Anna Catherine Choina. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John was a United States Naval Reserve Veteran and proudly served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of UA Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 60. John will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.
