Obituary: Paul B. Woodall, 93, passed away on 18, 2011, in his home in Mesa, AZ. Born in Washington, D.C. on 13, 1917, Paul lived the majority of his life near the nations capital. In 1938, Paul joined the National Guard, 29th Division, which was called to full service before Pearl Harbor. During his Army career, Paul graduated top of his OCS class, served the European Theater and was honorably discharged in 1946 with the rank of Captain. Paul returned to federal government work, where he became a stellar senior budget analyst at AEC. Paul was known as the office poet laureate, organized bowling leagues, and met his wife, Nancy. 37 years of federal service, Paul retired and moved his family, including two cats and his dog, Charlie Brown, to LHC, AZ in 1972, where he enjoyed golfing, four-wheeling, rock-hounding and silversmithing. Paul relocated his family to the East Valley in 1976 and worked several years for the AZ DES. Retiring for good, Paul pursued and fulfilled many of his life yearnings by acting in regional plays and performing with his band, Paul and Friends, including many years at the AZ State Fair. In his extended golden years, many fans caught him twice a week at local open mikes singing his own songs a cappella. His larger-than-life personality was well received. At the beginning of this year, Paul was recognized with the Lottie Lederer Songwriter Spirit Award by the AZ Songwriters Association. Paul has now gone to sing upon the greatest stage. Paul will be dearly missed by: Nancy A. Woodall, his wife of 54 years; and his surviving children: Paul ( ), Marjorie, Eolia (Ken Vogel), David (Tawny), Jennifer, James; two grandkids: Rebecca and Devin Vogel; and his sister, Patt Ryan. He was preceded by his son, Lawrence. Visitation; Mon., , 21, 2011 between 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Services will be held 10:30 AM, , 22, 2011 at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd., Mesa, AZ 85202. |

Obituary: Joyce Mary (Banks) Wood-Bolesworth, born 17, 1921 in Birmingham, England had resided in Arizona since 1962. She returned to the Lord, 13, 2014. Joyce is survived by: her husband Burt Bolesworth, their combined children, Beverly Goins, Deborah Wood-Schade, Dianne Carney, Cheryl Harris and Steve Harris. Between the two families there are 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by her two brother William and Victor Banks and a sister Ann Delves.
