Obituary: Christina Lynn Williams, 42, of Davenport passed away , May 13, 2014 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. services will be held at 11:30 AM , May 16, 2014 at The Runge Mortuary and Crematory. Visitation will be held from 4:00 \ 8:00 PM , May 15, 2014 at the mortuary. Burial will be at the National , Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Christina was born 16, 1971 in Davenport, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert Williams on 5, 1995 in Warm Spring, Virginia. She was a Physical Therapy Assistant at Rock Valley Physical Therapy and also worked as a dedicated CNA for 18 years. She left behind her loving husband Robert, Davenport; four children, Ryan (Ashley) Williams, Brittny (Brian) Garrels, Alex Garrels and Kaelib Lance with four precious grandchildren Hailey, Emily, Nola and Christian. |

Obituary: Celeste Williams, 90, of Ankeny passed away 6, 2017. Services will be held 3:00 p.m., , 11, 2017 at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Celeste was born 5, 1927 to Oscar and Marguerite Smith, in Oneida, Iowa. She was adopted and raised by Chet and Edna Gifford of Nevada, Iowa. She worked for a bank for many years as a head teller, and then went to work as a legal secretary for a law firm in Nevada, Iowa. She moved to Englewood, Colorado (which was where she wanted to be) where she worked as a Secretary for an oil company. She then moved back to Iowa working at two law firms until retiring at 75 years old. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She enjoyed music, reading, visits with the grand fur baby, Sammy; was an Hawkeye fan, and was passionate about crocheting. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Hapes, and Carol Williams; 2 grandsons) Jeffrey (Amanda) Hapes, and Jeremy (Brittany Alley) Williams (the apple of her eyes; 3 great-grandchildren, Jeffrey C. Hapes, and Quinn and Ryker Hapes; adopted children, Cindy Ahrens Corley, Shawn D. Wilkening, Susie Whittaker, Trish Byers, and John Nelson. She also had 4 other children, Stephen, Nancy, Michael, and David, along with 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to thank the staff at the Taylor House for their exceptional care. |
