Obituary: Wanda Louise (Miesner) Wischmeier, age 61, entered eternal life, surrounded by her family on 18, 2014, after a 26 year battle with cancer. She was a wonderful example of dignity, hope and unwavering faith as she struggled with this disease for so many years. Wanda was born on May 29, 1953, in Cole Camp, Missouri, to Glenn and Elaine (Borchers) Miesner who survive. graduating from Cole Camp High School, she went on to graduate from Concordia University Seward, NE, with a degree in Elementary Education. In 1974, she moved to Brownstown, Indiana after receiving a call to teach at Lutheran Central School. Wanda taught for 29 years, 26 of which were at Lutheran Central School. She found great fulfillment in seeing her students grow physically, cognitively, but most important, spiritually. She found no greater joy than teaching little children about Jesus. On 19, 1977, Wanda married Dennis Lee Wischmeier who survives. Together they had two daughters, Kristin (Matthew) Comer, Westfield, Indiana and Julie (Kyle) Warren, Brownstown, Indiana. Wanda was a dedicated wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother to her five precious grandchildren, Claire Addison Comer, Emerson Grace Warren, Marley Kate Warren, Carsyn Isabella Comer, and Landry Graham Warren. In addition to her parents, husband, children and grandchildren, Wanda is survived by her two sisters Karen (Fred) Oelrichs, Cole Camp, Missouri and Glenna (Ted) Sanlis, Livermore, California; two sister-in-laws Debbie (Wayne) Goecker, Clarinda, Iowa and Brenda Bobb, Crothersville, Indiana; brother-in-law Brian (Julie) Wischmeier and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Miesner, father-in-law and mother-in-law Noble and Melba Wischmeier and brother-in-law Danny Bobb. services will be held at 11:00 am on 23, 2014, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Wegan. Visitation will take place at Spurgeon , Inc., Brownstown, Indiana on , 22, 2014, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service on at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Wegan. Burial will be at St. Pauls Lutheran Church Wegan . Obituary: Waldo L. Wischmeier, age 75, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on , May 14, 2015 at Schneck Medical , Seymour, Indiana. He was a life member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan, where he held numerous church offices. Waldo was a grain and dairy farmer and was a charter member of Grassyfork Volunteer Fire Department, serving as Assistant Chief for 25 years. He served on the Brownstown Central School Corporation Board, as President of the Board for four years, and he also served on the Lutheran Central School Board. Born on 9, 1939, in Jackson , Indiana, Waldo was the son of Walter and Ella Wessel Wischmeier, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Janet Stuckwisch at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Sauers, on 28, 1959. She preceded him in death on 20, 1990. On 29, 1992, he married Linda K. Klosterman Schafstall and she survives in Brownstown. In addition to his wife, survivors also include three sons, Douglas (Sue) Wischmeier of Vallonia, Gregory (Lisa) Wischmeier and Max (Barbara) Wischmeier, both of Brownstown; two daughters, Beth (Stephen) Wischmeier of Seymour and Connie (Jeffrey) Stahl of Brownstown; grandchildren: Hilary (Mike) Strefling, Lindsey Wischmeier (Clint Sterling), Blaine Wischmeier, Kyle Wischmeier, Peyton Wischmeier, Britney Wischmeier, Jack Wischmeier, Levi Stahl, Adam Stahl, Craig Wischmeier, Crystal (Bryce) Purcell and Lucas Wehmiller; two great-grandsons, Paxton Purcell and Phinnley Purcell and one great-granddaughter, Madison Purcell; one brother, Marvin (Norma) Wischmeier of Brownstown; one sister, Marilyn (Robert) Benter of Brownstown; mother-in-law, Melba Klosterman; and several nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and worked along side her late husband on their grain and dairy farm. She was also a former member of the Wegan Wide Awake makers Club. Born on 4, 1922, in Seymour, Indiana, she was the daughter of John and Anna Petering Eggeman, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Leroy Wischmeier on 21, 1941 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Sauers, and he preceded her in death on 18, 2002. Survivors include one son, Ronald (Melody) Wischmeier of Vallonia, Indiana; two daughters, Vivian (Charlie) Stahl of Brownstown, Indiana, and Janice (Phil) Teipen of Seymour, Indiana. Also surviving include eight grandchildren, Denise Shoemaker, Bruce Stahl, Jeffrey Stahl, Roni Jo Scarlett, Tyler Wischmeier, Leah Strange, Scott Teipen and Sharon Markel; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Obituary: Richard G. Wirth, age 87, of Bloomington, died evening at his residence. Born 28, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Carl P. and Hazel (Grossman) Wirth. He retired from Illinois Bell after working at Bell Laboratories. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Aviation Cadet veteran of W.W. II. He is survived by his loving wife, Gretchen (Campbell) Wirth, whom he married on May 14, 1950 in Chicago, currently of Bloomington; his two sons and their wives, Ross A. and Kristen, of Pickerington, Ohio and Gary L. and Linda, of Beecher, Illinois; one daughter, Karen J. Young, of Canton, Michigan; three granddaughters, Sara S. (Kevin) Love, of Portland, Oregon, Kristen J. (Kelby)Young Waldrip, of Bloomington and Melissa A. Young, also of Bloomington; one grandson, James M. (Shawnda) Wirth, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one great-granddaughter, Reese E. Wirth, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and two great-grandsons, Joshua C. Love, of Portland, Oregon and Robert Ryker Wirth, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Wirth, and five brothers, Bernard C., Herbert R., F. Roy, Harold E. and Robert A. Wirth. There will be no public services or visitation at this time. The family will be gathering privately to celebrate his life. Day is in charge of arrangements. |
